Shortly after its launch in Thailand, the 2026 Honda Wave 125 has officially been imported into Vietnam by private dealers.

Among them, the standout is the Honda Wave 125 R Special Edition Profender. This model is limited to only 500 units worldwide.

The Wave 125 R Special Edition Profender features a predominantly white paint scheme, accented with sporty black and red decals on both sides of the body, front cowl, and fender.

The “Wave R” logo is stylishly stretched along the sides, adding to its distinctive character.

The bronze-colored cast wheels further enhance the unique appearance of this limited edition.

Like the standard model, the Wave 125 R Special Edition Profender features a fully redesigned LED headlight, offering efficient and energy-saving illumination.

The front also features an aerodynamic cowl with Y-shaped position lights on the edges, along with LED taillights. The front cowl and grab bar are finished in black.

The standout feature of the Profender edition is the Profender Strut Spring rear suspension. This adjustable system allows for customization of height and stiffness based on riding conditions, ensuring a smoother ride.

The braking system includes a front disc brake and rear drum brake, integrated with CBS for balanced braking between the front and rear wheels, ensuring safe operation.

Honda equips the Wave 125R Profender with a 125cc SOHC air-cooled engine, delivering 9.5 horsepower and 10.6 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 4-speed gearbox and PGM-FI fuel injection, similar to the standard model.

Other convenience features include a Smart Key system, USB Type-C charging port in the front compartment, an analog-LCD combination meter, 17-liter storage compartment, and a 5.4-liter fuel tank.

In Thailand, the Honda Wave 125 R Special Edition Profender is priced at 66,200 baht, approximately 54 million VND. The actual price for this limited edition in Vietnam could double after including import taxes and fees.

In Vietnam, Honda does not officially distribute the Honda Wave 125, but offers a similar model, the Future 125 Fi. This underbone motorcycle also recently launched its 2026 version, priced from 31.09 million VND.
