The Long Thanh International Airport project is entering a crucial phase of workforce preparation, a vital step before this national key project officially commences operations in 2026.
On November 1st, the Long Thanh International Airport Labor Recruitment Council announced the recruitment of workers for the airport.
This phase requires 132 additional workers for Long Thanh Airport. At the Terminal Operations Center, Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) is hiring equipment operators for the terminal (11), BHS operators (17), electro-mechanical equipment operators for the terminal and parking area (17), engineers for operation, maintenance, and repair of terminal equipment (1), IT engineers (2), engineers for operation, maintenance, and repair of low-voltage electrical systems (1), and technicians for maintenance and repair of low-voltage electrical systems (23).
Engineering positions require a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Additionally, ACV mandates that candidates have an English proficiency level of TOEIC 300, TOEFL PBT/ITP 360, TOEFL CBT 70, TOEFL IBT 22, or IELTS 3.5 or higher.
Previously, on August 23rd, Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) collaborated with Dong Nai province and aviation industry units to host the Long Thanh Airport Job Fair at 3A Park in An Phuoc commune, Dong Nai (formerly Long Thanh district, Dong Nai). The event attracted approximately 10,000 participants, with aviation units receiving applications from 1,298 candidates.
Long Thanh International Airport is a national key project with a total investment of approximately $16 billion, spanning 5,364 hectares.
The airport features 3 terminals and 4 runways, with the first phase’s passenger terminal boasting an 82-meter-high glass roof inspired by the lotus flower, Vietnam’s national flower.
Phase 1, with an investment of around $5 billion, has a design capacity of 25 million passengers annually. Upon full completion, the airport will handle 100 million passengers per year, becoming Vietnam’s largest international aviation hub and alleviating pressure on the current Tan Son Nhat Airport.
Recently, Long Thanh Airport completed its “final examination” before commercial operations. From September 26th to October 29th, the Flight Calibration Center conducted comprehensive technical flight checks and flight procedure assessments at Long Thanh International Airport.
International experts concluded that the airport meets and exceeds ICAO and European standards, fully qualifying it for regional and international commercial operations.
