Over 3,000 participants united in the “Run with Pho De Nhat – Proudly Spreading the Essence of Vietnamese Pho” event, held at Thong Nhat Park (Hanoi) on November 1–2, 2025. Organized by Acecook Vietnam, this marked the first time a community sports event was combined with the celebration of a national culinary heritage – Vietnamese pho.
Starting at 5 a.m. on November 2, more than 1,500 athletes embarked on 5km and 10km races around Thien Quang Lake. Along each route, the spirit of physical fitness merged with cultural pride, creating a journey that transcended sports. With the message “Run Healthy – Eat Well – Proud of Vietnamese Pho,” the event emphasized that pho is not just a dish but a living heritage, a memory, and a cultural identity ingrained in the Vietnamese soul.
Beyond promoting an active lifestyle, “Run with Pho De Nhat” served as a bridge between tradition and modernity, elevating pho as a symbol of national spirit. The event attracted a diverse crowd, from families and young groups to professional and amateur athletes.
Program ambassadors – People’s Artist Xuan Bac and singer SOOBIN Hoang Son – brought distinct flavors to the journey: preserving roots and embracing the future. Additionally, singer Trong Hieu’s vibrant performance ignited the atmosphere at Thong Nhat Park, radiating the positive energy of the youth while celebrating Vietnamese essence.
Alongside the run, the “Essence of Vietnamese Pho” area became a unique highlight, recreating the cultural space of pho through interactive activities, traditional games, and Vietnamese-themed photo spots. Notably, bowls of Pho De Nhat served on-site not only offered a complete culinary experience but also evoked the familiar flavors of home within the event’s ambiance.
A representative from Acecook Vietnam shared, “We hope this is not just a festival but the beginning of a journey to spread the value of Vietnamese pho, so that every citizen – especially the younger generation – feels proud and responsible for preserving this heritage.”
