Stable Power Generation, Safe and Efficient Operations
In the first 10 months, the Corporation’s electricity output reached an estimated 21.998 billion kWh, achieving 77.1% of the 2025 target set by the Annual General Meeting. All affiliated power plants have ensured sufficient fuel supply (coal, gas) for production, ready to start up and adjust loads as required by the grid. Additionally, EVNGENCO3 has completed 8 out of 10 economic and technical targets assigned by Vietnam Electricity (EVN).
Maintenance and repair services for power plants have demonstrated capabilities and expanded market reach with numerous large-scale projects both within and outside EVNGENCO3, executed efficiently with assured quality and timelines. Notably, a significant milestone was achieved in securing an EPC contract for the fuel conversion project at Ô Môn I Power Plant to use Lot B gas. Furthermore, EVNGENCO3 has successfully executed operation and maintenance contracts for Phú Mỹ 3 and Phú Mỹ 2.2 Power Plants, ensuring safety and efficiency.
All power projects and facilities strictly adhere to the Law on Environmental Protection, the Law on Water Resources, and related regulations. Notably, 100% of ash generated during coal-fired power production has been utilized, with specific achievements: Vĩnh Tân 2 Thermal Power Plant achieved a 113.19% utilization rate, including all generated ash and a portion from ash yards; Mông Dương 1 reached 100%; and Ninh Bình attained 162.22%.
EVNGENCO3 is committed to “green” development—efficient operations alongside robust environmental protection measures.
In early 2025, EVNGENCO3 is actively preparing investments in critical power projects such as Floating Solar on hydroelectric reservoirs, Srêpốk 3 and expanded Buôn Kuốp Hydropower Plants, Ninh Bình Flexible ICE Power Plant, Long Sơn LNG Power Plant, and various equipment upgrades to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.
In corporate governance, the Corporation has finalized post-equitization settlements, maintaining stable operations under a joint-stock model while streamlining organizational structures. Concurrently, it continues community support initiatives, demonstrating corporate responsibility in regions where it operates.
Accelerating Key Objectives for the Final Months of 2025
In the remaining months of 2025, Generation Corporation 3 is intensifying efforts to meet production targets, optimize bidding strategies in the electricity market, ensure fuel availability, and maintain readiness for grid operational demands. This includes completing the overhaul of GT12 at Phú Mỹ 1 Power Plant for the 2026 dry season; advancing independent repair programs without OEM reliance; and enhancing material recovery processes to optimize repair costs.
The Corporation is directing units to implement equipment upgrades to meet new environmental standards for thermal power plants effective January 1, 2032, as mandated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment. Proactive measures are being taken to address extreme weather during the rainy season, ensuring safe, continuous, and efficient power generation. Efforts are also underway to strengthen occupational safety and collaborate with local authorities to expedite key power project approvals.
EVNGENCO3 employees proactively enhance management, operational, and maintenance capabilities across power plants.
EVNGENCO3 continues to strengthen environmental initiatives, such as expanding coal storage covers at Vĩnh Tân Thermal Power Plant and increasing ash utilization with partners. These efforts underscore EVNGENCO3’s commitment to sustainable development, ensuring safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible operations as 2025 nears its end.
