In the journey of development, every nation sets goals for economic growth, infrastructure, and technology. However, there’s one increasingly vital metric that touches the hearts and daily lives of citizens: the National Happiness Index.

According to the 2025 World Happiness Report, Vietnam ranks 46th globally, its highest position ever, and stands second in Southeast Asia after Singapore. This is a positive sign of life satisfaction, as well as the sense of safety, trust, and community among Vietnamese people.

Questions like “What drives the happiness of Vietnamese people today?” and “How can we build a modern Vietnam that remains rich in identity and humanity?” will be discussed by experts in the talk show “Building the Nation – Proud Vietnam,” a special episode titled “The Journey of Happiness.” The program is jointly produced by the Government Information Portal, HTV9, and VCCorp, with the support of Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB).

The program features two distinguished guests:

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trần Thành Nam – Psychology expert, Vice Principal of the University of Education (VNU), Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Psychological and Educational Sciences Association;

Mr. Phạm Như Ánh – CEO of Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB) – one of the pioneering banks linking business with community responsibility.

During the talk, both guests will share diverse perspectives on “Vietnamese happiness,” from psychological science to the journey of spreading financial well-being in modern society.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trần Thành Nam, human happiness stems not only from material wealth but also from social connection, trust, and a sense of security. When the spirit of sharing and compassion spreads, people feel supported and understood—this is the foundation of sustainable happiness.

From a business perspective, Mr. Phạm Như Ánh believes happiness is not just a fleeting emotion but a long-term state of peace, achieved when individuals have a solid financial foundation and faith in the future.

Happiness is not distant but the result of small actions and shared values from individuals and organizations. When these actions resonate, they create the power to develop a nation that is not only prosperous but also sustainable, humane, and proud.

The talk show “Building the Nation – Proud Vietnam” – episode “The Journey of Happiness” will air on the Government Information Portal at 8 PM on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, live-streamed on VCCorp’s website system, and rebroadcast at 9:45 PM on Thursday on HTV9. It offers a multifaceted view of Vietnamese happiness—from financial security to mental well-being, from individual to community happiness.
