Converted to the local exchange rate, Robusta reference prices stand at 122,400 VND per kilogram.

Domestic coffee prices are expected to rebound from the average of 116,800 VND per kilogram observed before the London market opened.

Coffee Prices Surge at the Start of the Week

Coffee Prices Rise Due to Storms and Floods

According to coffee market expert Nguyen Quang Binh, the price increase is attributed to the consecutive storms and floods in Vietnam, which is currently in the peak harvest season. This has raised concerns about global supply.

Recently, the Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association (VICOFA) forecasted a 10% increase in coffee production for the 2025-2026 crop year, reaching 1.87 million tons.

However, this forecast does not account for potential rainfall and storms in November and December, which could significantly impact harvesting. This highlights the critical role of weather conditions in the coffee industry.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment reported that in October, Vietnam’s coffee exports were estimated at 71,900 tons, valued at $403.5 million. This brings the total coffee exports for the first ten months of 2025 to 1.3 million tons, worth $7.41 billion—a 13.5% increase in volume and a 61.8% rise in value compared to the same period in 2024.
