Subaru Forester 2025
Subaru Vietnam has extended invitations to the media for a test drive event of the 2025 Forester on November 12-13, strongly indicating the SUV’s launch in Vietnam this November.
If the timeline holds, Vietnam will become the fourth Southeast Asian market to welcome the Subaru Forester 2025, following Indonesia (July), Thailand (October), and Malaysia (October). The converted prices in these markets are approximately $50,000, $75,000, and $60,000, respectively.

According to dealership information, the Subaru Forester 2025 will be fully imported, with only two variants expected instead of the current three. Prices are set to increase significantly, with the standard version starting at approximately $55,000 and the premium version at around $65,000, even surpassing the Hyundai Santa Fe. In contrast, the previous generation is currently priced between $40,000 and $50,000.
The 2025 Forester is likely to be imported from Japan rather than Thailand, as Subaru’s Thai assembly plant has ceased operations. This shift in sourcing may contribute to the price increase, as Japan is not part of ASEAN and does not benefit from import tax incentives.
The Vietnamese version of the Subaru Forester 2025 is expected to feature a 2.5L gasoline engine without hybrid support, similar to the Indonesian variant. This configuration delivers 180 horsepower and 241 Nm of torque. Compared to the current 2.0L model sold in Vietnam (156 hp, 192 Nm), the 2025 Forester offers a significant performance upgrade.
Mercedes-Benz GLE 400e
The Mercedes-Benz GLE 400e is anticipated to be a notable plug-in hybrid (PHEV) SUV in Vietnam soon. During the launch of the new E-Class, the CEO of Mercedes-Benz Vietnam emphasized the brand’s commitment to developing eco-friendly vehicles, particularly PHEVs.

Dealerships report that the GLE 400e has arrived in Vietnam and is set to launch in November, with an expected price of around $190,000. The vehicle combines a 2.0L turbocharged gasoline engine with an electric motor, producing a total output of 381 horsepower. Its 30+ kWh lithium-ion battery enables an all-electric range of nearly 100 km, paired with a 9-speed transmission and standard 4Matic all-wheel drive.
The introduction of the GLE 400e will diversify PHEV options for Vietnamese consumers, as most current plug-in hybrids in the market are from Chinese brands.

Previously, the Volvo XC90 2025 made its Southeast Asian debut at the Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS) 2025 in March. This mid-cycle facelift retains the model’s signature design while refining exterior details for a more modern and elegant appearance.
Inside, the most notable change is the upgrade of the central infotainment screen from 9 inches to 11.9 inches. Additionally, the air vents have been redesigned with vertical slats, aligning with the exterior grille style.
In terms of performance, the XC90 displayed at BIMS 2025 features a T8 powertrain. This combines a 2.0L turbocharged gasoline engine producing 306 horsepower with an electric motor generating 143 horsepower, resulting in a total output of 455 horsepower and 710 Nm of torque. The vehicle can travel approximately 70 km in pure electric mode, according to Volvo.
New Honda Motorcycles
On November 4, Honda Vietnam will unveil three new motorcycle models in Ho Chi Minh City. This announcement has been confirmed through media invitations and the company’s official social media channels. However, details about the specific models remain undisclosed.
Among the upcoming releases, the new generation Honda Air Blade is almost certain to be included. This speculation is based on a teaser image released by Honda, featuring a new scooter “breaking away from its familiar image,” with the letters “AB” prominently highlighted—matching the Air Blade’s abbreviation.

The second model is rumored to be the new generation or upgraded version of the Honda SH 125/150i. Although Honda has not released any teasers, the November 4 launch date coincides with the press day of EICMA 2025, the largest annual event in the motorcycle industry. Notably, in 2019, Honda introduced smaller displacement SH models in Vietnam during EICMA, suggesting a potential repeat of history.
Another model that has been officially announced but not yet launched is the Honda Future 125 FI 2026. This model will offer a more tangible experience compared to the specifications and pricing of other models.
Additionally, there are rumors that the November 4 event will also debut two larger displacement models, the Honda CL300 E-Clutch and Rebel 300 E-Clutch, alongside the more mainstream offerings.
