7 Vietnamese Stocks Enter the MSCI Frontier Markets Small Cap Index

The MSCI Frontier Markets Small Cap Index has undergone significant changes in its latest quarterly review for Q4 2025, announced on November 6, 2025. The index added 29 new stocks while removing 9, with Vietnam seeing a notable shift: 7 Vietnamese companies were included, but 4 were dropped from the index.

According to the latest review, the Small Cap basket has added L40, CLL, HGM, JVC, NNC, OCH, and SCS. Meanwhile, the index basket removed two Bamboo Group companies, BCG and TCD, along with IDV and CII. Notably, CII was excluded to be included in the Frontier Market Index.

Following the November review, the Small Cap basket expanded by 20 stocks, bringing the total portfolio to 447.

As of October 31, 2025, Vietnamese stocks maintain the highest weighting in the Small Cap basket at 28.45%. Bangladesh follows with 14.11%. Among these, only CII ranks in the top 10 by weight, at 1.05%.

These changes will take effect on November 25, 2025. The next review is scheduled for February 10, 2026, CEST (UTC +1, European time), or early February 11, 2026, Vietnam time.
