Under the guidance of the Ministry of Finance, the Vietnam Semiconductor Industry Exhibition – SEMIExpo Vietnam 2025, co-organized by the National Innovation Center (NIC) and the global semiconductor association SEMI, will officially take place on November 7-8. With the theme “Driving Vietnam’s Semiconductor Aspiration,” this year’s exhibition is expected to highlight Vietnam’s rapid advancements in the global semiconductor supply chain.

The event is anticipated to attract 5,000 delegates and nearly 200 exhibition booths, featuring leading technology corporations, universities, and industrial parks worldwide. It will bring together industry giants such as ASML, Samsung, Amazon, Lam Research, Tokyo Electron, Coherent, Amkor, Micron, Cadence, Qualcomm, Intel, alongside Vietnam’s key enterprises like FPT and Viettel.

Speaking on the event’s significance, Linda Tan, President of SEMI Southeast Asia, shared: “This year, we have assembled the largest sourcing program, including four global SEMI member companies, to source locally in Vietnam. This will enable domestic companies to expand their capabilities and connect with the global semiconductor ecosystem.”

Vo Xuan Hoai, Deputy Director of the National Innovation Center (NIC), emphasized: “Vietnam is proud to welcome the return of SEMIEXPO Vietnam for its second year, reflecting a strong commitment to building a world-class semiconductor ecosystem.” He affirmed that SEMIEXPO Vietnam is not just an exhibition but a catalyst to drive integration and establish Vietnam’s role in the global semiconductor value chain.

Taking place amidst Vietnam’s aggressive implementation of the “Semiconductor Industry Development Strategy to 2030 and Vision to 2050,” SEMIExpo 2025 is a concrete step toward the goal of making Vietnam a global semiconductor talent hub by 2030. From a traditional manufacturing and assembly destination, Vietnam is now advancing into high-value-added stages. Currently, the country boasts over 50 integrated circuit design companies with approximately 7,000 engineers, along with 15 enterprises and more than 10,000 technicians engaged in packaging, testing, and equipment manufacturing.
