The Ring Road 3 project, spanning 6.84 km through Tay Ninh province (formerly part of Long An), boasts a total investment of over 3 trillion VND. Phase 1 includes a 4-lane expressway designed for speeds up to 100 km/h, alongside two parallel roads allowing 60 km/h traffic, ensuring seamless connectivity and safety.

Comprising nine construction packages, the Tay Ninh section of Ring Road 3 features three key packages for the main expressway. Package XL1 focuses on the main road construction, XL2 on overpasses and bridges, and XL3 on the final interchange connecting to the Ben Luc – Long Thanh Expressway, ensuring seamless integration.

By late September, the Long An Investment and Construction Project Management Board (under Tay Ninh province) reported that all three main packages of Ring Road 3 had reached 82% contract value completion. Scheduled for completion by year-end, the project will open in 2026, enhancing southern regional connectivity.

To meet the Prime Minister’s deadline, contractors deployed hundreds of workers and machinery, working tirelessly to complete road surfaces and shoulders, ensuring on-time project delivery.

Workers operate road rollers from dawn to dusk, ensuring project handover by December 31, 2025.

Despite prolonged rain, contractors maintained multiple work fronts, focusing on critical tasks like embankment construction, guardrail installation, and drainage systems, paving the way for asphalt laying and final completion.

On-site, dozens of traffic signs, bollards, and safety equipment are ready for installation once road surfaces are completed.

The Tan Buu overpass under package XL2, at the Tan Long intersection, has completed its concrete deck and railings. Contractors are preparing for asphalt laying, finalizing the last stages before full connectivity.

The Tan Buu overpass and parallel bridge over Cho Dem River have achieved closure, marking a significant milestone for package XL2.

Package XL3, connecting to the Ben Luc – Long Thanh Expressway, is 80% complete. The cross overpass has been asphalted and handed over to VEC for temporary opening, facilitating related construction.

The U-turn overpass has completed its concrete deck and railings.

Ring Road 3, spanning over 76 km through Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, and Tay Ninh, is a key national transport project.

Upon completion, Ring Road 3, alongside the Ben Luc – Long Thanh and HCMC – Trung Luong Expressways, will form a perimeter around HCMC. This network will reduce downtown traffic, shorten travel times, lower logistics costs, and boost southern economic development.
