This exclusive event will operate under a unique brand model, poised to become a new international hub, uniting sectors such as renewable energy, power, hydrocarbons, energy storage, hydrogen, low-carbon technologies, and utilities within an integrated ecosystem. Its mission is to foster collaboration, investment, and innovation during the global energy transition.

Hosted in Hanoi, Vietnam, the Global Energy Conference and Exhibition is a groundbreaking initiative by VEC and dmg events, positioning Vietnam as Asia’s emerging energy hub. Beyond showcasing cutting-edge technologies and global partnerships, the event aims to shape the “global green energy” strategy, connecting Vietnam and the Asia-Pacific region to the world’s sustainable energy movement.

Scheduled for December 2026, this four-day event will gather over 800 domestic and international companies from renewable energy, power, oil and gas, energy storage, hydrogen, low-carbon technologies, and utilities. Alongside, 1,500 delegates and 180 international speakers from 50+ countries will converge to amplify the practical values of sustainable energy transition. The program includes in-depth conferences, business networking forums, technology showcases, and green transformation site visits, all aimed at driving regional collaboration, investment, and innovation.

As a global-scale event, the conference and exhibition will serve as a pivotal platform for policymakers, investors, and innovators to address critical challenges in energy security, green transition, and sustainable development. It will emphasize the principles of “just energy transition” and “sustainable cooperation,” aligning with Vietnam’s strategic vision under the Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP) and the ASEAN Energy Transition Partnership (ETP). This underscores Vietnam’s commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 and attracting investments in green energy, renewables, and clean technologies.

The launch of this event marks the beginning of a long-term partnership between VEC and dmg events, aimed at establishing Vietnam as a premier destination for international exhibitions and a regional hub for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and investment attraction.

“The energy narrative in the Asia-Pacific region is entering a new era, where balance, cooperation, and scale are pivotal,” stated Christopher Hudson, President of dmg events. “This global conference will unite energy leaders to transform ambition into action, bridging capital, policy, and innovation across all energy systems.”

Trần Mai Hoa, CEO of VEC, added, “The partnership between VEC and dmg events is a strategic leap toward establishing Vietnam as a new regional energy nexus. Through this global event, we aim to create a high-impact platform that fosters policy dialogue, attracts high-quality investments, and drives breakthrough initiatives for energy transition. This is not just an event but a foundation for Vietnam’s proactive contribution to Southeast Asia’s and the world’s energy architecture.”

Southeast Asia is embarking on a profound energy transition. By 2040, the region’s energy demand is projected to rise by 60%, requiring over $200 billion in annual investments, with infrastructure needs potentially exceeding $3 trillion by 2030. These figures position Southeast Asia as a global energy focal point, driving collaboration, innovation, and capital to ensure sustainable growth. Vietnam, with its dynamic economy targeting 8% GDP growth in 2025 and double-digit growth from 2026 to 2030, is emerging as a key magnet for international investment, particularly in renewables and infrastructure.

The strategic alliance between Vietnam Exhibition Center (VEC) and dmg events goes beyond capital and technology transfer, aiming to position Vietnam as a global hub for large-scale exhibitions and conferences. This partnership also opens avenues for developing future international exhibition models, promoting economic growth, cultural exchange, and MICE tourism.
