Closing the trading session last night and early this morning on November 7th (Vietnam time), Robusta coffee prices on the London exchange plummeted by 3.32% – 3.34%, while Arabica prices on the New York exchange dropped by 3.92% – 4.06%.
For the benchmark January 2026 contract, Robusta prices fell by $156 per ton to $4,530 per ton. Meanwhile, the December 2025 Arabica contract saw a significant decline of $370 per ton, settling at $8,750 per ton.
Today’s domestic coffee prices are expected to drop sharply from the average of 118,800 VND/kg before the London session began. As a result, the 120,000 VND/kg milestone remains out of reach.
Coffee prices plunge by triple digits today
Coffee, with over 85% of its production exported, is heavily reliant on global market prices. Currently, Vietnam, the world’s second-largest coffee producer after Brazil, accounting for nearly 20% of global output, is facing severe storms impacting harvests, yet prices continue to plummet.
Even in the domestic market, foreign enterprises hold a significant share.
