The project aims to establish a concentrated information technology zone, comprising research and development (R&D) areas, data centers, digital technology development zones (AI, Big Data, Blockchain, etc.), training facilities, offices, housing, and support services.
Currently, CMC is proposing a suitable investment location in Can Gio to complete the legal procedures, striving to commence construction and launch the project within 36 months from the approval of the investment policy.
During the survey, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Dang Minh Thong, stated that this survey aims to grasp the actual situation at key science and technology units. This will provide the city with additional data for the Steering Committee’s report on implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW, while also identifying specific support measures to foster development in this sector.
The working group also noted CMC Corporation’s recommendations and plans to propose that the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee submit a detailed report for inclusion in the city’s Steering Committee’s plan.
