The Ring Road 4 project in the Capital Region is a national key transportation infrastructure, spanning 112.8 km across three provinces: Hanoi, Hung Yen, and Bac Ninh. With a total investment of over 85 trillion VND, the road is designed for six lanes of expressway, a speed limit of 100 km/h, and includes parallel roads on both sides.

The section through Bac Ninh province alone stretches approximately 35 km, with a total investment of 5.2 trillion VND. This includes 2.5 trillion VND for land clearance and over 2.7 trillion VND for the parallel road construction.

On-site, contractors are maximizing equipment and manpower, working round-the-clock in three shifts and four teams. At the starting point in Nguyet Duc commune (former Thuan Thanh town), progress is accelerating, with several sections of the parallel road already asphalted, gradually shaping the Ring Road 4 – Capital Region.

At the intersection with National Highway 38, the developer is compacting the foundation, laying stones, and preparing for asphalt paving, ensuring seamless connectivity across the entire route in the near future. Many areas now feature completed road surfaces, showcasing the contractors’ commitment to meeting project deadlines.

Recently, the Ring Road 4 expressway component, with a total investment of over 56.29 trillion VND, was launched. Phase one includes four lanes, a 17m wide road surface, and 71% of the route (80.98 km) elevated with 13 viaduct sections, 8 interchanges, and 3 major river crossings. Starting at the Noi Bai – Lao Cai junction (Hanoi) and ending at the Noi Bai – Ha Long junction (Bac Ninh), the project is expected to be completed within 30 months.

Upon completion, the Ring Road 4 expressway will significantly reduce travel time between Hanoi and Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, and other key economic zones in the Northern region, easing congestion on routes like Phap Van – Cau Gie and Noi Bai – Bac Ninh. It will expand urban and industrial development space for the capital, boost investment attraction, particularly in real estate, logistics, and trade services.

Notably, the impact of Ring Road 4 on Bac Ninh’s real estate market is substantial. Within a 5 km radius along the route, numerous large-scale projects are underway, such as Hong Hac City, Tung Bach Social Housing, and the Southeast Urban Area, spanning Thuan Thanh, Que Vo, and Hap Linh, where infrastructure is being heavily invested. The road opens new development opportunities, driving rapid growth in housing, commercial, and industrial demand.

Furthermore, Ring Road 4 plays a crucial role in advancing Bac Ninh’s socio-economic development. Its early completion will unlock new growth spaces, bringing tangible benefits to residents and businesses alike.

It will also reduce travel times, enhance connectivity between Bac Ninh and regional airports, seaports, and industrial hubs, lower logistics costs, improve competitiveness, and increase investment appeal for the entire area.

As a key project, Bac Ninh’s entire political system is actively involved, mobilizing maximum resources to expedite construction. The province urges all units to act unanimously, with a “move forward, not backward” mindset, aiming to complete the parallel road system by 2025.

Ring Road 4 not only strengthens regional connectivity but also contributes to realizing Bac Ninh’s goal of becoming a centrally governed city under the 2021–2030 Development Plan, with a vision to 2050.
