The Asian Technology Excellence Awards (ATEA), an annual event hosted by Asian Business Review, celebrates groundbreaking technological initiatives shaping Asia’s future. These awards recognize projects with measurable outcomes, addressing critical challenges and driving tangible progress across various sectors.

In the Digital Transformation – Food Manufacturing category, Vinamilk stands as the sole Southeast Asian dairy enterprise honored, thanks to its dual breakthrough technologies: ultrafiltration and the Quality Control System 4.0. According to Asian Business Review, these advancements position Vinamilk as the region’s first company to fully digitize both production and raw material procurement processes.

Ultrafiltration, pioneered by Vinamilk on a large scale in Southeast Asia, directly responds to the global rise in demand for protein-rich fresh milk. This European-origin technology enables molecular-level extraction of protein, calcium, and lactose, reconfiguring nutritional components to meet increasingly personalized consumer needs.

Despite being made entirely from fresh milk without added whey protein, each 250ml pack of Vinamilk Green Farm High Protein contains 12.5g of natural protein—65% more than traditional UHT milk. It also boasts 30% more calcium and 60% less fat. The physical filtration membrane further eliminates lactose, making it accessible to those with sensitive digestive systems.

This product is an ideal nutritional solution for health-conscious individuals, including adults, pregnant women, athletes, and growing children.

“Vinamilk Green Farm High Protein embodies our commitment to future-proof product development, where nutrition is not only healthy but also tailored to individual preferences, tastes, and lifestyles,” emphasized Mr. Nguyễn Quang Trí, Vinamilk’s Marketing Executive Director.

Complementing this, Vinamilk’s high-sensitivity quality control system enables real-time monitoring at critical points. By implementing targeted improvements rather than overhauling processes, the system ensures consistent high-quality raw milk—a prerequisite for advanced technologies like ultrafiltration.

“These innovations are particularly significant given Vinamilk’s global scale and impact,” notes Asian Business Review. Vinamilk operates as Southeast Asia’s largest dairy producer, managing 15 internationally certified farms (Global S.L.P., Organic EU) and over 130,000 dairy cows, supplying 1.1 million liters of fresh milk daily.

Technology has transcended its role as a production tool, becoming a key ingredient in redefining modern dairy nutrition. For Vinamilk, each innovation marks a step toward a future where nutrition is not only clean and healthy but also personalized to individual needs, health conditions, and lifestyles.
