The Investigative Police Agency of Da Nang City Public Security Department has issued an indictment and executed an arrest warrant for Dang Dinh Quy (born in 1986, residing in Hai Van Ward, Da Nang City) on charges of “Abusing Position and Power While Performing Official Duties.”

Previously, based on criminal intelligence provided by the Da Nang City Party Committee’s Inspection Commission, the Investigative Police Agency investigated fraudulent activities related to land use certificate applications involving Dang Dinh Quy and a resident of Hoa Hiep Nam Ward, Lien Chieu District (formerly).
During the investigation, Quy fled the area. The agency issued a manhunt and successfully apprehended him after three years of evasion.
The investigation revealed that in May 2015, while working at the Lien Chieu District Land Registration Office (formerly), Dang Dinh Quy exploited his position and colluded with Mr. H. (residing in Hoa Hiep Nam Ward). They used information from land plot No. 134, map sheet No. 29, with an area of 298m², which had already been issued a land use certificate, to fraudulently apply for a certificate for a different plot—No. 82, map sheet No. 270, with an area of 252.4m² in Organization 9, Hoa Hiep Nam Ward—for Mr. H. and his spouse.
The actions of Dang Dinh Quy and his accomplices resulted in a financial loss to the state amounting to 1,640,600,000 VND.
