According to QSR Media and Daily Mail, KFC Australia has announced the nationwide launch of its new menu item, the Zinger Bánh Mì, available from November 4 to December 1, 2025.

The Zinger Bánh Mì features KFC’s signature spicy chicken fillet, combined with a twist on the traditional Vietnamese bánh mì. The sandwich includes: Zinger fillet, slaw (pickled carrots & daikon), cucumber, cilantro, fresh chili, bánh mì-style mayo, and a “Supercharged” sauce.

The product will be available at all KFC restaurants across Australia. Customers can purchase it à la carte or as part of a combo with fries and a drink, or in a Box Meal.

Starting prices begin at 9.95 AUD (approximately 170,000 VND).

Sally Spriggs, Marketing Director of KFC Australia, stated that the brand enjoys putting its unique spin on modern dishes. She described the Zinger Bánh Mì as KFC’s reinterpretation of a beloved culinary icon.

Prior to its nationwide launch, the Zinger Bánh Mì was tested at 10 locations in Newcastle (New South Wales) earlier this year, available exclusively through the app.

However, some Vietnamese customers in Australia noted that the sandwich lacks traditional elements like pâté, making it less authentic compared to classic bánh mì.
