At the 14th Conference (held from November 5th to 6th), the Central Executive Committee carried out the introduction process for several positions. These included the Deputy Chairman of the 15th National Assembly and the Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court, to be nominated by the Politburo for election at the 10th Session.

As per regulations, after being elected, the new Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court will perform the oath-taking ceremony before the National Assembly.

Previously, on November 4th, Mr. Do Van Chien—Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, and Central Mass Organizations, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front—was assigned by the Politburo as the Permanent Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee.

Mr. Nguyen Van Quang—Central Committee Member, Standing Deputy Inspector General of the Government Inspectorate—was appointed to the Party Committee Executive Board, the Standing Board of the Party Committee, and holds the position of Secretary of the Supreme People’s Court Party Committee for the term 2025–2030.

This marks the second time during this session that the National Assembly has conducted personnel matters within its jurisdiction. Specifically, during the first week of the session, the National Assembly elected positions within the National Assembly and approved the appointment of two deputy prime ministers and three ministers.
