The program, co-hosted by the British Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City and Sovico Group, celebrates the elevation of bilateral relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership—the highest level of cooperation in Vietnam’s foreign policy framework.

This event follows the state visit of General Secretary To Lam to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, marking a new chapter in multifaceted cooperation: trade, investment, science and technology, defense, security, green growth, climate change response, culture, and education.

Standing proudly along the Saigon River, Saigon Marina IFC—a newly inaugurated architectural marvel commemorating Vietnam’s 80th National Day—embodies modern, eco-friendly design and direct connectivity to Metro Line 1. This tower symbolizes Ho Chi Minh City’s emergence as a global financial hub, reflecting the city’s ambition to integrate and thrive on the world stage.

Bathed in radiant light and imagery symbolizing friendship, Saigon Marina IFC serves this week as a luminous bridge between Vietnam and the UK, radiating messages of innovative collaboration, knowledge exchange, and sustainable development.

Education and culture remain the enduring foundations of this partnership. Academic and research initiatives—such as the Oxford Pioneer Scholarship, championed by Vietnamese entrepreneurs—are expanding educational opportunities for Vietnamese students while fostering intellectual and cultural exchange between the two nations.

On November 13th, coinciding with the 77th birthday of King Charles III, the British Embassy in Vietnam will host a gala in Hanoi to honor the strengthened ties and shared commitment to peace, security, and sustainable development.

Throughout this meaningful week, Saigon Marina IFC stands as a beacon of trust and friendship, where locals and visitors alike deeply feel the bond, appreciation, and shared aspiration to build a brighter future between Vietnam and the United Kingdom.
