Qorvo Corporation Seeks Collaboration with Bac Ninh Province

During a meeting with Bac Ninh’s leadership, Mr. Gernot Fattinger expressed Qorvo’s interest in collaborating on advanced semiconductor ecosystems, supply chain development, technology transfer, and workforce training to drive sustainable growth in the region.
Qorvo also requested Bac Ninh’s support in streamlining investment procedures, expediting visa approvals for experts, and providing tax incentives for high-tech equipment imports.
In response, Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan highlighted Bac Ninh’s plans to establish a concentrated IT park and an intelligent computing center, aiming to become Vietnam’s “Silicon Valley.”
He invited Qorvo to contribute strategies for positioning Bac Ninh as a leading semiconductor hub in Vietnam and encouraged collaboration with local private enterprises to integrate them into Qorvo’s supply chain.
Regarding Qorvo’s proposals, Chairman Tuan pledged Bac Ninh’s full support to create a favorable environment for investors and ensure effective operations.
The Semiconductor Industry’s Prospects in Vietnam
The semiconductor sector is a rapidly growing industry globally. In 2024, its global revenue surpassed $600 billion and is projected to reach $1 trillion by 2030.
In Vietnam, the industry is expected to grow by over 11% annually from 2023 to 2027, reaching a market size of $31 billion by 2027.

Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong emphasized that Vietnam considers semiconductors a strategic technology critical for enhancing competitiveness, driving economic growth, and establishing national prestige.
