The appointment of Mr. Bùi Quang Dũng as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors at Bamboo Airways, replacing Mr. Lê Thái Sâm, marks a significant strategic move. This transition aims to strengthen the Board and propel the airline into a new phase of growth under the management of the FLC Group.

Mr. Bùi Quang Dũng – New Chairman of Bamboo Airways’ Board of Directors

Mr. Bùi Quang Dũng holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Southern Columbia University (USA) and boasts over 15 years of experience in investment management and real estate.

He has held senior positions at prominent companies such as Colliers International, BIM Group, and Empire Group. Currently, he serves as Deputy General Director of FLC Group, Vice Chairman, and Acting Deputy General Director of Bamboo Airways. Mr. Dũng previously contributed to Bamboo Airways’ management as Deputy General Director from 2019 to 2022.

As a representative of the FLC Group, Mr. Dũng’s leadership is expected to foster a strong synergy between Bamboo Airways and FLC. This alignment will ensure a cohesive restructuring strategy, operational rebuilding, and long-term development vision for the airline.

According to the same resolution, Mr. Lê Thái Sâm will step down as Chairman but remain on the Board of Directors.

The current Bamboo Airways Board consists of six members: Mr. Bùi Quang Dũng, Mr. Lê Thái Sâm, Mr. Nguyễn Ngọc Trọng, Mr. Lê Bá Nguyên, Mr. Trương Phương Thành, and Ms. Phùng Thị Thu Thảo.

This leadership change coincides with Bamboo Airways’ return to direct management by the FLC Group, as proposed by the former investor group led by Mr. Dương Công Minh.

As the founding investor and early leader during Bamboo Airways’ initial growth phase, FLC Group has outlined a new development plan for the airline for 2026-2030. This plan focuses on operational restructuring, fleet expansion, and network consolidation.

In the immediate future, Bamboo Airways is actively preparing to receive an additional aircraft to increase capacity during the year-end peak season. The airline also plans to further expand its fleet before the 2026 Lunar New Year.

Previously, Bamboo Airways announced a large-scale recruitment drive for flight attendants to support its long-term growth strategy and enhance passenger experience.

Bamboo Airways focuses on new development plan

From 2026 to 2030, Bamboo Airways and FLC aim to develop a smart aviation ecosystem integrating multiple sectors: air services, logistics, technical maintenance, workforce training, and in-flight catering. This will be complemented by a synchronized technology platform for tourism, hospitality, and golf.

At key airports like Nội Bài, Tân Sơn Nhất, Long Thành, and Phù Cát, Bamboo Airways will establish modern auxiliary service centers.

Additionally, Bamboo Airways is enhancing customer experience through initiatives like reinstating the Bamboo Club membership tiers and extending memberships by one year for nearly 3 million loyal customers. The airline is also expanding its membership tier matching policy for customers holding memberships with domestic and international airlines.
