After a prolonged absence, the American tech brand Motorola has officially re-entered the Vietnamese market with its 2025 smartphone lineup, featuring five products spanning from premium to budget segments.

According to Mahesh Alanthat, Senior Business Director of Motorola for Asia-Pacific, Vietnam is considered a key market due to its large young user base and high technology adoption rate. This comeback is part of the brand’s repositioning strategy under the “Lifestyle Tech” concept, focusing on products that align with sustainable living and personal style.

Motorola’s latest launch includes five models: razr 60, edge 60 FUSION, moto g86 POWER 5G, moto g35 5G, and moto g06 POWER. The lineup is divided into two categories: the razr and edge series targeting the premium segment, and the moto g series catering to budget-conscious users with a focus on performance and battery life.

The motorola razr 60 continues the brand’s iconic clamshell design, featuring a titanium hinge, pOLED display, and IP48 water resistance. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400X chipset, 8GB of RAM, and a 4,500 mAh battery.

The motorola edge 60 FUSION targets users seeking reliable performance, boasting a 1.5K edge-to-edge display with 4,500 nits brightness, IP69 water resistance, and a Sony LYTIA camera.

Meanwhile, the moto g series, including the g86 POWER 5G, g35 5G, and g06 POWER, emphasizes 5G connectivity, large battery capacities (ranging from 6,000–7,000 mAh), and competitive pricing.

These devices will be distributed through The Gioi Di Dong, with prices starting from 2,890,000 VND for the moto g06 POWER and up to 18,990,000 VND for the razr 60.

Regarding its return to Vietnam, Motorola plans to focus on developing products tailored to young users, expanding its distribution network, and collaborating with local partners.

With this re-entry, Motorola will compete directly with leading brands like Samsung, Xiaomi, and OPPO. The company hopes its advantages in foldable design, fashion-forward appeal, and diverse pricing will attract users seeking innovative smartphone experiences.

Model Starting Price
motorola razr 60 18,990,000 VND
motorola edge 60 FUSION 8,190,000 VND
moto g86 POWER 5G 6,590,000 VND
moto g35 5G 3,790,000 VND
moto g06 POWER 2,890,000 VND

This move is seen as a crucial step for Motorola to re-establish its presence in Southeast Asia, after focusing primarily on the Americas and Europe. Choosing Vietnam as the starting point for its regional campaign highlights the local market’s growth potential, where 5G devices and mid-range smartphones are gaining significant traction.
