According to Dong Nai Newspaper, on the morning of November 13th, General Secretary To Lam, along with a Central Working Group, inspected and encouraged the construction workforce at the Long Thanh International Airport project.

At the site, the General Secretary commended the dedication of the construction units. He also warmly greeted and motivated the workers, presenting gifts to the contractor’s staff. Additionally, he personally inspected key components such as the passenger terminal and technical infrastructure, noting the progress of Phase 1 completion.

As reported by the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), several major and critical pieces of equipment for the passenger terminal have been transported to the site and installed, with many systems now nearing completion.

The air traffic control tower, passenger terminal, and runway are also progressing rapidly. Moving forward, teams will focus resources on completing priority sections and accelerating equipment installation in preparation for the historic December 19th milestone.

Previously, on November 2nd, Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh conducted an on-site inspection of the Long Thanh International Airport project. Upon completion, this facility is expected to rank among the world’s 16 most advanced airports.

Across the vast 5,000-hectare site, nearly 14,000 engineers, workers, and experts, supported by approximately 3,000 modern machines, are working tirelessly around the clock on hundreds of construction fronts.

The Minister of Construction inspected critical elements such as the T1 and T2 connector roads, the second takeoff/landing runway, the aircraft parking area, and the passenger terminal frontage. This area will host the inauguration ceremony scheduled for December 19th, 2025.

Emphasizing the principle of “cleanliness as you build,” the Minister directed contractors to ensure not only timely progress and quality but also to prioritize aesthetics, landscaping, and the overall harmony of the project.

Long Thanh International Airport is a national key project with a total investment of approximately $16 billion, spanning 5,364 hectares. Once completed, it will be Vietnam’s largest airport, capable of serving up to 100 million passengers annually. In fact, the Prime Minister has personally inspected the project’s progress on multiple occasions.
