On November 14th, Mr. Tran Nam Hung, Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People’s Committee, met with Dutch business representatives to explore investment opportunities at Chu Lai Airport.

The delegation toured the airport’s operational areas and development zones. Both parties discussed strategic planning, regulatory frameworks, and investment procedures to identify collaborative opportunities.
Mr. Hung highlighted the 2021-2030 aviation master plan (Vision 2050), designating Chu Lai as a 4F-class international airport with a 2030 target of 10 million passengers annually. Plans include establishing an aerospace logistics hub, training center, and aircraft maintenance facilities.
The 2021-2030 plan (Vision 2050) aims to create a synchronized airport-centric economic and urban ecosystem, modeled on global aerotropolis concepts.
The airport city zone will drive growth by integrating aviation services with urban development, linked to Chu Lai Open Economic Zone and the Da Nang-Quang Ngai coastal corridor.
Da Nang is actively seeking investors to realize the airport’s master plan and develop its associated economic ecosystem.

Representatives from Royal Schiphol Group and NACO praised Chu Lai’s strategic planning and location. They expressed interest in connectivity infrastructure, including the North-South high-speed rail and Da Nang’s urban rail system.
Mr. Hung acknowledged the Dutch input, pledging full support in planning, infrastructure, and regulatory compliance. Both sides will continue discussions toward formal cooperation agreements.
