Masterise Group has released the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report (November 2025) for the Gia Binh International Airport construction project.
According to the investor, upgrading Gia Binh Airport into an international airport is expected to enhance transportation connectivity, attract investment, and promote the development of Bac Ninh province and its surrounding areas. As per the National Airport System Plan for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, Gia Binh Airport will have a 4F airport grade and a design capacity of 30 million passengers per year and 1.6 million tons of cargo per year during 2021-2030, increasing to 50 million passengers per year and 2.5 million tons of cargo per year by 2050.
The project spans approximately 1,885 hectares across Gia Binh, Luong Tai, Lam Thao, and Nhan Thang communes in Bac Ninh province. It is located about 20km from Bac Ninh city center and approximately 45km from Hanoi.

The total investment is 196.378 trillion VND, funded by the state budget. This includes land compensation and clearance costs of over 29.5 trillion VND, loan interest of more than 11 trillion VND, construction costs of nearly 89.7 trillion VND, and equipment costs exceeding 30.7 trillion VND.
The project will be implemented in two phases: Phase 1 from 2025 to 2030 and Phase 2 from 2031 to 2050. The investor is Masterise Group; the project consultant is Air Traffic Design and Construction Consultancy Company (ADCC), and the EIA consultant is the Institute of Environmental Science (IES) under the Ministry of Transport. Notably, ADCC is also the sponsor of the Gia Binh Airport planning project.

Following the investment decision, the project owner will proceed with detailed design work, advised by design consultants, for approval by the Bac Ninh Provincial People’s Committee.
Masterise Group notes that the airport area is relatively flat, with no hills, and most of the land is currently used for rice cultivation, resulting in a lower elevation compared to the surrounding areas.
In August this year, the groundbreaking ceremony for Gia Binh International Airport was held, with Masterise Group as the “co-host.”
Beyond this key project in Bac Ninh, in early November, the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee approved Masterise Group’s proposal to study and prepare the investment policy report for the Phu My 2 Bridge project under the public-private partnership (PPP) model. According to Masterise’s proposal, the 6.3km Phu My 2 Bridge will connect Nguyen Huu Tho Street (Ho Chi Minh City) and Lien Cang Road (Dong Nai Province). The 8-lane road has a preliminary total investment of 12.9 trillion VND. The project is expected to be approved in Q4/2025, with construction starting in Q3/2026 and completion by 2029.
