On November 14th, in an interview with Tiền Phong, a representative from Tax Authority Branch 1 in Dak Lak province stated that, according to current tax laws, businesses are responsible for self-declaring, deducting, and remitting taxes to the state budget. Companies are held accountable for their tax obligations under the law.

Mailisa Dak Lak saw a sparse number of customers returning to use their services on November 14th.

Specifically, regarding Mailisa Beauty Salon Trading Company Limited (located at 69-71 Ngo Quyen, Buon Ma Thuot City), the representative from Tax Authority Branch 1 in Dak Lak noted that this business has consistently contributed significantly to the branch’s annual budget. In 2023, the company paid 11 billion VND in taxes; in 2024, 17.8 billion VND; and in the first 10 months of 2025, 10.4 billion VND.

Previously, on November 13th, the Ministry of Public Security conducted simultaneous searches across Mailisa beauty clinic branches nationwide, including the one in Dak Lak. Authorities sealed and confiscated numerous documents from the premises.

According to Tiền Phong‘s observations, the branch resumed normal operations on the morning of November 14th. However, customer traffic remained sparse.

Earlier, on his personal Facebook page, Mr. Hoang Kim Khanh—husband of Ms. Phan Thi Mai, owner of the Mailisa beauty chain—shared that Mailisa Beauty Salon Trading Company Limited (Dak Lak) was established in 2015 at 69-71 Ngo Quyen, Tan Loi Ward, Buon Ma Thuot City (now Buon Ma Thuot Ward).

Recently, as the previous lease was nearing expiration, Mr. Khanh and Ms. Mai purchased land and constructed a new facility at 59A Le Thanh Tong, Buon Ma Thuot Ward. The new Mailisa Buon Ma Thuot location is scheduled to officially open in December.

According to Mailisa’s website, the Buon Ma Thuot location is a 5-star facility equipped with state-of-the-art technology, offering premium beauty services such as: cosmetic surgery (nose lifts, eyelid surgery, lip reduction, eyebrow lifts); non-invasive skin tightening and lifting; filler, Botox, and Mesotherapy injections for skin rejuvenation; advanced skincare treatments; and semi-permanent makeup (eyebrows, lips, eyelids).

According to corporate records, Ms. Phan Thi Mai and Mr. Hoang Kim Khanh are the owners of the Mailisa beauty clinic chain. Founded in 1998 by Ms. Mai, the chain expanded under Mr. Khanh’s management, accelerating the opening of new branches. Today, Mailisa operates approximately 16-17 locations nationwide (Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Dak Lak, Binh Duong, Can Tho, Da Nang, Phu Quoc, Nha Trang), employs over 2,000 staff, and is one of Vietnam’s largest beauty chains.

Mr. Hoang Kim Khanh is listed as a director for several companies: Mailisa Service Company Limited; MK Skincare Production-Trading-Service-Import-Export Company Limited; Mailisa Beauty Salon Trading Company Limited (Dak Lak); Mailisa Single-Member Company Limited (Binh Duong); Mailisa Trading Service Single-Member Company Limited (Hanoi, with a charter capital of 15 billion VND); Mailisa Service Single-Member Company Limited (Can Tho); Mailisa Trading Single-Member Company Limited (Da Nang); Mailisa Trading Service Company Limited (Phu Quoc); and Mailisa Trading Service Single-Member Company Limited (Nha Trang, ceased operations in October 2023).

Ms. Phan Thi Mai is also associated with several entities, including: Mai Li Sa Company Limited (established in 2007, headquartered on Huynh Van Banh Street, Phu Nhuan District), Mai Li Sa Trading-Service Company Limited (ceased operations), and Maikabeauty Company Limited (established in August 2023).

Among these entities, Mai Li Sa Company Limited (established in 2007 with a charter capital of 1 billion VND and 10 employees) is considered the most stable and long-standing operation.

In 2023, the company’s revenue reached 307.6 billion VND, a 19% increase from 2022. Cumulatively from 2019 to 2023, revenue exceeded 1 trillion VND. By the end of 2023, despite profit distributions over several years, accumulated profits totaled 154.8 billion VND—significantly surpassing the charter capital of just 1 billion VND.

Another entity, Mailisa Beauty Salon Trading Company Limited in Dak Lak (with a charter capital of 1 billion VND), has also maintained consistent growth over the past five years.
