Currently, he serves as Deputy General Director of FLC Group and holds the dual positions of Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Standing Deputy General Director at Bamboo Airways.

On November 12, 2025, the Board of Directors of Bamboo Airways unanimously elected Mr. Bui Quang Dung as the new Chairman of the Board for the 2023–2028 term, succeeding Mr. Le Thai Sam.

This strategic move by Bamboo Airways aims to strengthen its Board of Directors, paving the way for a new phase of growth after returning to the management of FLC Group.

Mr. Bui Quang Dung holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Southern Columbia University (USA) and boasts over 15 years of experience in investment management and real estate.

He has held senior positions at prominent companies such as Colliers International, BIM Group, and Empire Group. Currently, he serves as Deputy General Director of FLC Group, Vice Chairman, and Acting Deputy General Director of Bamboo Airways. Mr. Dung previously contributed to Bamboo Airways as Deputy General Director from 2019 to 2022.

According to the same-day resolution, Mr. Le Thai Sam will step down as Chairman but remain a Board Member, continuing his association with Bamboo Airways.

The current Board of Directors of Bamboo Airways consists of six members: Mr. Bui Quang Dung, Mr. Le Thai Sam, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Trong, Mr. Le Ba Nguyen, Mr. Truong Phuong Thanh, and Ms. Phung Thi Thu Thao.

This leadership change occurs as Bamboo Airways returns to direct management by FLC Group, following a proposal from former investors led by Mr. Duong Cong Minh.

As the founding investor and former leader during Bamboo Airways’ rapid growth phase, FLC Group has outlined a new development plan for 2026–2030. Key objectives include restructuring operations, expanding fleet capacity, and strengthening route networks.

In the immediate term, Bamboo Airways is finalizing preparations to add one aircraft to its fleet, boosting capacity for the year-end peak season. Additional aircraft are expected to join the fleet before the 2026 Lunar New Year.

Previously, Bamboo Airways announced large-scale recruitment for flight attendants to support long-term growth and enhance passenger service quality.

From 2026 to 2030, Bamboo Airways and FLC Group aim to develop a smart aviation ecosystem, integrating multiple sectors: flight services, logistics, technical maintenance, workforce training, and in-flight catering.

Bamboo Airways has reinstated its Bamboo Club membership tiers and extended the validity of nearly 3 million loyalty program members by one year. The airline has also expanded its membership tier matching policy for customers holding memberships with domestic and international airlines.
