Renowned Vietnamese singer Dam Vinh Hung has confirmed to Thanh Nien Newspaper that he has successfully sold his luxury villa, valued at over 100 billion VND, located in District 10, Ho Chi Minh City. This property holds significant sentimental value for the artist, as he had extensively invested in transforming it into a recording studio, entertainment space, and a venue for hosting intimate gatherings with friends and colleagues.
The announcement of the villa’s sale sparked various speculations on social media, ranging from financial difficulties to setbacks in his artistic career. However, prior to confirming the sale to Thanh Nien, Dam Vinh Hung had shared that the primary reason for selling his long-cherished home was his son, Polo.
“Polo is currently enrolled in an international school in District 2. The daily commute from our home to the school is quite lengthy and time-consuming, considering he will complete all three educational levels there. Mr. Hung wishes to provide his son with more rest time, hence the decision to relocate closer to the school,” reported Vietnamnet as the reason behind Dam Vinh Hung’s villa sale.

In an interview with Ngoi Sao, Dam Vinh Hung revealed that he also needed to sell the villa to fund the completion of his new home. “I had to sell my current villa to have enough funds to finish my new house according to my vision. Leaving a home that has been a part of my life for many years is challenging, but for my son, I am willing to do anything,” as quoted by Ngoi Sao.
Currently, Dam Vinh Hung is permitted by the new owner to reside in the villa until the end of the Lunar New Year. As a result, he has dedicated considerable time and effort to decorating the house lavishly for Christmas. This is a longstanding tradition for Dam Vinh Hung, who often opens his home to fans and loved ones for tours during this festive season.
