On the afternoon of November 15th, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc received Yang Weidong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hua Se Group (China), along with leaders from the Jiangsu Business Association in Beijing and representatives from several enterprises and investment funds under the Association.

Expressing his delight in meeting with Yang Weidong, Chairman of Hua Se Group, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc stated that Vietnam is actively promoting breakthrough development solutions based on science, technology, high-tech innovation, and digital transformation to elevate the country’s economy to new heights. This year, Vietnam’s GDP growth is expected to reach approximately 8.3%, with a budget revenue of around 100 billion USD; total import-export turnover is projected at 911 billion USD; and inflation is estimated at 3.6%…

Currently, Vietnam is focusing on accelerating infrastructure development, including the construction of major airports, seaports, and a modern highway network. This year, approximately 3,000 kilometers of highways will be completed, along with Phase 1 of Long Thanh Airport (ranked 6th globally) and several modern international seaports.

By the end of this year, Vietnam will commence a high-speed rail project connecting Chinese localities to Hai Phong City and prepare for the North-South high-speed railway project…

Emphasizing that Hua Se Group is not only a leading Chinese enterprise but also a successful player in the international market, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc expressed his hope that Hua Se Group and Jiangsu enterprises will explore and expand their effective investments in Vietnam.

During the meeting, Yang Weidong noted that Hua Se Group has been collaborating with Vietnam’s Deo Ca Group on various projects, including the Red River Boulevard and Landscape Project, the Lang Son-Cao Bang-Bac Kan Highway Project, and Phase 2 of the Eastern North-South Expressway Project. The Group has established a partnership with Deo Ca Group in infrastructure, technological innovation, and project management (technology transfer; digitalized management of highways; AI applications in construction, design, and operation). Hua Se Group has also signed an agreement to become a strategic shareholder in 2AZ Construction Consulting Company.

Chairman Yang Weidong expressed confidence that, through technology transfer and high-quality workforce training, Hua Se’s advanced technologies will soon be effectively implemented and applied in Vietnam.

Yang Weidong, along with the Permanent Chairman of the Jiangsu Business Association in Beijing and leaders from several Chinese enterprises, affirmed their desire to expand investment cooperation in Vietnam, particularly in infrastructure development; the design and construction of tunnels, bridges, highways, high-speed railways, irrigation works, and hydropower projects; drone technology for cargo transportation; AI and digital transformation; digital applications in disaster and flood prevention; communication technology; product branding; and culinary culture…

Yang Weidong and the leaders of the Jiangsu Business Association in Beijing highly appreciated Vietnam’s economic development potential, believing that Vietnam and China have ample opportunities for cooperation in the aforementioned fields. They expressed hope that the 1,500 enterprises within the Jiangsu Business Association will find investment and production opportunities, contributing to Vietnam’s economic development in the near future.

Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc welcomed the cooperation between Hua Se Group and Deo Ca Group in training a high-quality workforce, technology transfer, construction, and AI applications in bridge and road system management. He noted that Vietnam’s terrain is characterized by mountains, rivers, and streams, with frequent typhoons, floods, and landslides. To prevent road erosion caused by storms and floods, and to reduce transportation costs, roads must be straight, tunnels must be built through mountains, and bridges must span rivers and streams.

Highlighting Chinese enterprises’ advanced science, technology, modern equipment, and expertise in tunnel, bridge, and high-rise building construction, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc urged Hua Se Group and Jiangsu Association enterprises to collaborate with Vietnamese companies. He encouraged the application and transfer of the latest and most advanced technologies to enhance productivity and foster long-term, sustainable cooperation.

Reporting to Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc on Hua Se Group’s achievements in applying advanced techniques and technologies to design and construct large tunnels through rivers and mountains, as well as major bridges in China, Yang Weidong affirmed his readiness to cooperate and transfer the best technologies and techniques to Vietnamese enterprises in this field for mutual sustainable development.

Welcoming the cooperation between Hua Se Group, the Jiangsu Business Association, and Vietnamese enterprises, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc affirmed that the Vietnamese Government will create a favorable environment for foreign enterprises, including Chinese companies, to invest and operate in Vietnam, ensuring compliance with the laws of both countries and international regulations. He encouraged reputable Chinese enterprises like Hua Se Group and leading Jiangsu enterprises to invest in large-scale, high-tech, environmentally friendly projects that reflect China’s development level and align with Vietnam’s priority areas.

Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc expressed confidence that, in the near future, Hua Se Group and enterprises from the Jiangsu Business Association in Beijing will successfully and effectively implement specific projects with Vietnamese partners, contributing to Vietnam’s socio-economic development and strengthening the substantive cooperation between Vietnam and China.

Established in 1960, Hua Se Group originated as the Jiangsu Provincial Transportation Planning and Design Institute. It is now a large-scale private design group in China with nearly 7,000 employees worldwide, ranking 3rd in the “Top 100 Strongest Enterprises in the National Survey and Design Industry” and 49th in the “Top 150 Best Design Firms Worldwide.”

Hua Se Group’s main products and services include planning consultancy, surveying, design, and testing.
