Victorian Minister Danny Pearson visited Nutifood’s headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City to discuss the collaboration between Nutifood and ViPlus Dairy. The meeting highlighted Vietnam’s pivotal role in advancing the global journey of the international brand, GippsNature.

November 10, 2025 – Nutifood had the honor of welcoming Mr. Danny Pearson, Minister of Economic & Employment and Minister of Finance of the Victorian Government (Australia), during his official visit to Vietnam. During the meeting, representatives from Nutifood and ViPlus Dairy shared insights into their collaborative journey in co-founding the global nutrition brand, GippsNature.

The Victorian Government delegation included Mr. Matt Carrick, Secretary of the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry, and Regional Development; Mr. Kieran Barns-Jenkins, Chief of Staff to Mr. Danny Pearson; Mr. Trent Davies, Director of Trade and Investment Promotion for Southeast Asia; Ms. Naïla Mazzucco, Senior Commissioner for Southeast Asia; and Ms. Doãn Liêu An, Head of Trade and Investment Promotion – Vietnam, Victorian Government.

The visit took place amidst the expanding economic cooperation between Vietnam and Australia, particularly in the nutrition sector. The milestone partnership between Nutifood and ViPlus Dairy in establishing the international joint venture, ViPlus Nutritional Australia, and co-creating the GippsNature brand, has pioneered a highly promising economic collaboration model.

During the visit, in addition to discussing the partnership between the two companies, Minister Danny Pearson and the delegation toured Nutifood’s Research & Development (R&D) Center and E-commerce Livestreaming Studio. This provided an opportunity to explore the company’s research capabilities and modern market engagement strategies.

Bringing the Australian Nutrition Brand GippsNature to Vietnam

In May 2025, in Melbourne, Nutifood and ViPlus Dairy, an Australian dairy company with over 130 years of history, established the international joint venture ViPlus Nutritional Australia, witnessed by both governments. By October 2025, the two companies officially launched the global nutrition brand, GippsNature, in Vietnam.

During the visit, Minister Danny Pearson praised the partnership model between Nutifood and ViPlus Dairy, symbolizing the spirit of connectivity and mutual development between Vietnam and Australia. He expressed strong support and high expectations for ViPlus Nutritional Australia to achieve impressive results, becoming a model for effective economic cooperation. This will contribute to promoting trade, exports, and local economic growth.

Vision to Expand GippsNature Globally Within 3 Years

During the meeting, the Victorian Government, along with the leadership of Nutifood and ViPlus Dairy, discussed the cooperation roadmap and global development strategy for GippsNature over the next three years. The joint venture aims to achieve revenue of $33 million by 2026 and $130 million by 2028. Plans include expanding into international markets across Southeast Asia (Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, Thailand) and key markets in the Middle East.

Representatives from Nutifood and ViPlus Dairy shared the development goals of ViPlus Nutritional Australia for the next three years.

Additionally, GippsNature will continue to launch new products, focusing on premium infant formula and nutritional products tailored to different age groups, from children to adults and the elderly. Each product is developed based on the philosophy of “harmonizing with nature,” supported by modern scientific foundations.

Beyond establishing the international joint venture ViPlus Nutritional Australia with an initial investment of over $3 million (70% from Nutifood and 30% from ViPlus Dairy), Nutifood has also invested an additional $230 million (equivalent to 6,000 billion VND) to expand its farm and factory in Gia Lai. This includes developing production lines for ready-to-drink nutritional products under the GippsNature brand and Australian-standard nutritional formulas, meeting the global demand for convenience and high quality.

Mr. Jon McNaught, CEO of ViPlus Dairy, expressed confidence in Nutifood’s capabilities and expertise, while highlighting shared values between the partners: “Alongside sustainable business practices, Nutifood and ViPlus Dairy will enhance activities that contribute economic and social value to local communities. The international joint venture is expected to create numerous job opportunities in the Gippsland region and foster research and development collaborations with leading universities in Melbourne.”

Mr. Trần Bảo Minh, Vice Chairman of Nutifood’s Board of Directors, also expressed hope for the joint venture’s positive impact: “We highly value Victoria’s pioneering role in global agriculture and nutrition. Through this joint venture, Nutifood aims to strengthen bilateral economic cooperation with Victoria, while creating sustainable nutritional values. This will help position Vietnam and Australia more prominently on the global food and nutrition map.”
