PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) has unveiled a fresh look for the New Honda Scoopy scooter in Indonesia, featuring a vibrant and trendy color palette. This update reinforces Scoopy’s position as a trendsetter in the stylish scooter segment, appealing to young, fashion-forward consumers.
In this latest upgrade, AHM has categorized Scoopy into two versions across three distinct lines, each with its own color scheme to cater to diverse personalities. The Fashion line offers four bold and modern shades: Fashion Black, Red, Cream, and Mint, designed for those who favor a standout yet soft urban aesthetic.
The Prestige line, known for its luxurious appeal, introduces a new Prestige Red alongside the classic Prestige Black and Prestige White. Enhanced with a Smart Key system, this line exudes exclusivity and sophistication. Meanwhile, the Stylish line adds a refined Stylish Grey, complementing the existing Stylish Green and Stylish Beige, for a sleek yet contemporary look.
According to AHM, the color refresh aims to cater to the increasingly diverse tastes of young consumers. Octavianus Dwi, AHM’s Marketing Director, stated, “The Honda Scoopy has always been a symbol of youthful lifestyle in Indonesia. These new colors are not only trendier but also offer more ways for riders to express their individuality and confidence.”
While focusing on color updates, the New Honda Scoopy retains its signature retro design, blending classic charm with modern features. The LED crystal block headlights enhance both aesthetics and visibility. The redesigned handlebar area features a crisp Digital Panel Meter and a seamless control panel. Additionally, a USB Type-C charging port caters to the tech-savvy needs of young riders.
The classic 5-spoke wheels and 12-inch tubeless tires maintain the retro vibe while ensuring a stable ride. The spacious footrest accommodates passengers, ideal for urban commuting. Overall, Scoopy remains a compelling choice for city dwellers seeking a compact, fuel-efficient scooter.
The Smart Key version includes Honda’s Smart Key system with anti-theft alarm and Answer Back functionality for added convenience. The Digital Panel Meter displays essential information such as speed, fuel efficiency, Smart Key status, ECO mode indicator, and more. A foldable utility hook adds practicality.
Powering the New Honda Scoopy is a 110cc SOHC engine with eSP (enhanced Smart Power) technology and PGM-FI fuel injection. It delivers 6.6 kW at 7,500 rpm and 9.2 Nm at 6,000 rpm, ideal for urban commuting. Fuel efficiency is rated at 59 km/l (1.69 L/100 km), and it meets Euro 3 emissions standards.
In Jakarta, the New Honda Scoopy starts at 22,876,000 Rupiah (approximately $1,500) for the Fashion line and 23,681,000 Rupiah (approximately $1,550) for the Stylish and Prestige lines. With this color update, Scoopy continues to dominate Indonesia’s stylish scooter market.
In Vietnam, the 2025 Honda Scoopy is available through private imports, priced between 38 and 50 million VND, competing with models like the Honda Vision and Yamaha Janus.
