On November 16th, the Department of Construction of Tay Ninh Province announced that according to the approved plan for Component 4 of the Ho Chi Minh City – Moc Bai Expressway project, which focuses on compensation, support, and resettlement, 2,260 households and 17 organizations are affected by land clearance across various wards and communes, including An Tinh, Gia Loc, Go Dau, Phuoc Thanh, and Ben Cau. Among these, 230 households will be relocated to new residential areas, with over 246 hectares of land reclaimed. The total compensation budget exceeds 3.056 trillion VND.

To date, local authorities have compensated nearly 2,000 households with approximately 2.7 trillion VND. Resettlement areas are currently undergoing infrastructure completion, preparing for handover to residents.
According to the Tay Ninh Project Management Board, land handover is being executed systematically and urgently.
The Ho Chi Minh City – Moc Bai Expressway Phase 1, implemented under a Public-Private Partnership (BOT) model, was approved by the Prime Minister on August 2, 2024. The expressway spans approximately 51 km, with over 26.3 km passing through Tay Ninh. Designed to highway standards, it features 4 lanes and a speed limit of 120 km/h.
The project comprises 4 components. Ho Chi Minh City is responsible for Components 1, 2, and 3, while Tay Ninh Province handles Component 4 (compensation, support, and resettlement). The total investment is 19.617 trillion VND.
As planned, the construction package is expected to commence on December 19th, with the entire route scheduled for completion and operation by 2027.
