Supermodel Ngoc Thach
On her personal Facebook page, supermodel Pham Ngoc Thach (full name Pham Thi Ngoc Thach) announced that Conihat Coffee was awarded a certification by the International Women’s Coffee Alliance (IWCA) for its sustainable coffee development and women empowerment initiatives in Lam Ha, Lam Dong.
Ms. Thach also shared that Conihat Coffee Roaster has officially launched on Amazon in the United States. Within just four months, the brand sold over 1,000 products.
Conihat Coffee Roaster is a premium coffee brand under Blue Ocean Import-Export Trading Joint Stock Company (Blue Ocean JSC). Ms. Pham Thi Ngoc Thach serves as the legal representative and CEO of Blue Ocean. Additionally, she represents other entities, including Branch 1 of Blue Ocean JSC and a farm produce trading business.
Blue Ocean is a member of Ocean Group (Ocean Corporation), a family-run enterprise led by supermodel Ngoc Thach’s husband.
In October of last year, Blue Ocean JSC became the first Vietnamese company to export passion fruit to Australia, with an initial shipment of 1.5 tons.
Simultaneously, Blue Ocean JSC inaugurated a 10,000 m² frozen fruit processing plant in Lam Dong. The facility has the capacity to produce and supply over 10,000 tons of products annually. The plant processes fruits from Lam Dong, the Central Highlands, and the Mekong Delta, including durian, passion fruit, rambutan, mango, and dragon fruit. Besides the U.S. and Australia, Blue Ocean’s products are exported to Japan, South Korea, and Europe.
Born in 1991 in Hau Giang, supermodel Ngoc Thach won the Gold Award at the 2010 Vietnam Supermodel Competition and the Best Traditional Costume Award at the 2010 World Miss University. She also placed in the Top 10 at the 2010 Miss Model of the World competition.
Shortly after, she stepped away from the entertainment industry. In late 2012, Ngoc Thach married businessman Do Binh Duong (also known as Duong Kon). Her father-in-law, Do Van Binh, is the Chairman of Ocean Corporation and a board member of Song Da Urban and Industrial Zone Development Investment Corporation. As of December 31, 2012, Mr. Binh was the 39th wealthiest individual on the stock market, with assets valued at over 400 billion VND.
After marriage, Ngoc Thach focused on supporting her family’s business and raising her children. Since 2021, she has served as the founder and CEO of Blue Ocean Import-Export Trading Joint Stock Company (Blue Ocean JSC).
