Omoda & Jaecoo to Introduce a Range of New Energy Vehicles in Vietnam
Omoda & Jaecoo, the Chinese automotive brand, has announced an ambitious plan to launch 16 new models in Vietnam by 2026. This diverse lineup caters to the varied preferences of Vietnamese consumers, spanning from trendy urban SUVs to family-oriented, off-road, and electrified SUVs, ensuring a perfect match for every customer segment.
Among the highlights are the Omoda series, including the Omoda C5, Omoda C7, and O4, targeting tech-savvy young drivers. The Jaecoo lineup features the Jaecoo J5, J6, J7, and J8, designed for those who appreciate power, luxury, and an adventurous lifestyle.

Additionally, the brand will introduce Plug-in hybrid models featuring the Super Hybrid System (SHS) and pure electric vehicles (BEV), aligning with Vietnam’s green transportation strategy.
This aggressive expansion underscores Omoda & Jaecoo’s rapid growth in Vietnam’s automotive market, just one year after its entry. It also demonstrates the brand’s long-term commitment to the Vietnamese market.
Upcoming models set to launch in Vietnam
A key highlight of Omoda & Jaecoo’s 2026 strategy is the introduction of advanced hybrid technology into their product portfolio. The Super Hybrid 3 DHT, unveiled by Chery Group (Omoda & Jaecoo’s parent company) on April 20, 2021, features two electric motors and three clutches, enabling drivers to switch between nine different driving modes.
This technology enhances fuel efficiency by over 50% compared to traditional gasoline vehicles. For instance, the engine operates at just 2,290 RPM when cruising at 120 km/h. The Jaecoo J8 SHS, scheduled for a 2026 launch, will incorporate this innovative system.
Alongside the unprecedented product launch, Omoda & Jaecoo has significantly invested in its distribution network. Within a year of its market entry, the brand has established a network of 39 dealerships and sales points nationwide.
