Green SM Capital Surge: Reaching 25 Trillion VND Milestone

Green Smart Mobility Joint Stock Company (GSM) has recently announced changes to its business registration details.

According to the latest update on November 4, 2025, GSM increased its chartered capital from VND 18 trillion to VND 25 trillion. The shareholder structure remains undisclosed.

Established in March 2023, GSM initially had a chartered capital of VND 3 trillion. Its founding shareholders included Vietnam Investment Group Corporation (2%), Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong (95%), and Ms. Pham Thu Huong (3%).

Currently, Mr. Phan Thanh Long (born in 1973) remains the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the legal representative of the company.

GSM is not the only company within the Vingroup ecosystem to increase its capital recently. VinMetal, for instance, announced a capital increase from VND 10 trillion to VND 15 trillion in its business registration update on November 13, 2025. The entire capital was contributed in cash by private investors.

Alongside the capital increase, VinMetal appointed Mr. Do Tien Si as its CEO, while Mr. Nguyen Viet Quang serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors.

VinMetal was established on October 10, 2025, with an initial capital of VND 10 trillion. Vingroup holds 98% of the shares, while Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong’s two sons, Pham Nhat Quan Anh and Pham Nhat Minh Hoang, each hold 1%.

VinMetal aims to build a high-tech industrial steel production complex with a capacity of approximately 5 million tons per year in its first phase, located in Vung Ang, Ha Tinh.

Additionally, on October 23, 2025, VinEnergo significantly increased its capital from VND 10 trillion to VND 28.335 trillion. Of this, 44.59% (VND 12.133.9 trillion) was contributed in cash, while the remaining 55.41% (VND 15.701.1 trillion) was contributed through other assets.

Following the capital increase, VinEnergo expanded its business operations. According to the announcement on November 6, 2025, the company now operates in nine sectors, including electricity production, electrical equipment manufacturing, electrical system installation, electricity transmission, and distribution.

Notably, VinEnergo has added wholesale and retail electricity trading to its transmission and distribution activities.

Founded in March 2025, VinEnergo is a member of the Vingroup ecosystem, specializing in renewable energy. At its inception, the company had a chartered capital of VND 2 trillion, with Vingroup contributing 19%, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong contributing 71%, and his two sons each contributing 5%.
