Notably, a familiar name to Vietnamese consumers appeared in the report: VinFast. The Vietnamese automaker achieved sales of 2,789 units, ranking 15th in the market, surpassing major brands such as Mazda (2,642 units), BMW (1,967 units), and Geely (1,801 units).

VinFast officially entered the Indonesian market in February 2024 and has rapidly expanded its presence. The company offers a diverse range of electric vehicles, including the VF 3, VF 5, VF 6, VF e34, and VF 7, targeting affordable segments in the country.

Additionally, the Vietnamese brand has established a robust ecosystem, including an authorized service network with 181 workshops across Indonesia. Xanh SM (electric taxi service) has launched and expanded operations, while V-Green (charging stations) is rapidly deploying thousands of stations to meet growing demand.

In the future, VinFast plans to complete its manufacturing facility in Indonesia to begin local assembly of electric vehicles. The goal is to capture a significant share of the nation’s highly promising EV market.

Thus, entering the top-selling automotive brands is a positive milestone for a newcomer like VinFast, affirming that the Vietnamese brand is successfully penetrating a fiercely competitive market.

This initial success lays the foundation for explosive growth as VinFast expands its product lineup and global distribution network in the future.
