Closing the trading session last night and early this morning on November 19th (Vietnam time), the price of Robusta coffee on the London exchange rose by 2.01% – 2.25%, while Arabica prices on the New York exchange surged by 2.95% – 3.21%, surpassing the $9,000 per ton mark.

For the reference contract, Robusta for January 2026 delivery increased by $90 per ton, reaching $4,573 per ton; Arabica for December 2025 delivery rose by $280 per ton, hitting $9,160 per ton.

Today’s coffee prices are expected to rise further from the previous level of 113,500 VND/kg before the London session begins.

In the previous session, domestic coffee prices did not rise as sharply as global prices, increasing by only 3,200 – 4,100 VND/kg, while the reference price climbed by 6,600 VND/kg.

Robusta coffee prices are currently half that of Arabica.

Recently, domestic coffee prices have shown greater stability compared to global prices, with less volatility due to physical trading activities.

Coffee prices surged in the first two sessions of the week as Vietnam faced consecutive storms and landslides in the Central Highlands, which, although the damage to coffee trees has not yet been assessed, will undoubtedly impact the harvest.

Meanwhile, high U.S. tariffs on Brazilian coffee continue to disrupt supply chains, driving coffee prices higher.

With Arabica prices currently double those of Robusta, there remains significant upside potential for Robusta prices.
