Omdia has released its Q3 2025 smartphone market share data for Vietnam. Samsung leads with 29%, followed by Xiaomi (19%), Apple (17%), Oppo (17%), and Realme (6%). Together, these top five brands dominate 71% of the market. Notably, Chinese brands Xiaomi, Oppo, and Realme collectively hold 42% of the share.
While Samsung’s top position is almost a given, Xiaomi’s consistent second-place ranking for three consecutive quarters underscores its growing strength, outpacing Oppo in the Android segment.
According to Neo Chen, General Director of Xiaomi Vietnam, the brand’s success stems from its advanced technology, superior product quality, and comprehensive user experience tailored for Vietnamese consumers.
Flagship series like the Redmi Note 14 and Redmi 15 dominate the mid-range market, while the newly launched 15T series competes in the premium segment at under $900.

Omdia’s regional data reveals similarities between Vietnam and neighboring markets like Thailand, where Samsung leads, followed by Oppo, Xiaomi, and Apple.
In Malaysia, Xiaomi excels with 21% market share, surpassing Samsung, Honor, Vivo, and Oppo. Conversely, in Indonesia and the Philippines, Transsion (Infinix, Tecno, iTel) dominates, with Xiaomi trailing in second place.

Globally, Samsung remains the leader with 19%, followed by Apple (18%). Xiaomi (14%), Transsion (9%), and Vivo (9%) complete the top five. Compared to Q3 2024, all brands have seen sales growth, indicating a robust market expansion.
