Recently, the Traffic Police Department has released a list of 68 traffic violations captured by AI cameras on the Noi Bai – Lao Cai Expressway and in Hanoi’s urban area.
From 12:00 PM on November 19 to 12:00 PM on November 20, AI cameras at the 20km mark on the Noi Bai – Lao Cai Expressway recorded 11,654 vehicles passing through, with an average speed of 76 km/h.
Additionally, the AI cameras detected 6 cases of drivers not wearing seatbelts, and this information has been forwarded to the vehicle owners for processing according to regulations.
Furthermore, data extracted from AI cameras installed at the intersection of Pham Van Bach and Hoang Quan Chi streets in Hanoi’s urban area revealed 12 cases of motorcyclists not wearing helmets, 45 cases of disregarding traffic signals, and 3 cases of driving in the wrong direction.
On Le Van Luong Street in Hanoi, AI cameras identified 2 cases of vehicles driving in the wrong lane. These violations have been reported to the Hanoi Police Department and relevant authorities for further action.

According to the list, the most common violation was motorcyclists disregarding traffic signals. As per point c, clause 7, Article 7 of Decree 168/2024/NĐ-CP, effective from January 1, 2025, motorcyclists who fail to obey traffic signals will face a fine of 4 to 6 million VND. Additionally, violators will have 4 points deducted from their driver’s license, as stated in point b, clause 13, Article 7.
Under point b, clause 10, Article 7 of Decree 168/2024/NĐ-CP, motorcyclists who disregard traffic signals and cause traffic accidents will be fined 10 to 14 million VND. Simultaneously, 10 points will be deducted from their driver’s license.
Citizens can check for traffic violations at home by visiting the Traffic Police Department’s website at https://www.csgt.vn/tra-cuu-phuong-tien-vi-phạm.html. On this site, users can enter their license plate number, vehicle type, and captcha code. After clicking “Search,” the system will display the results.

Step 1: Download and install the VNeTraffic app from the App Store or Google Play.
Step 2: Log in to your account.
If you don’t have an account, register by following these steps:
Select “Register,” then scan the QR code in the top-right corner of your ID card. Verify your information, enter your phone number, and click “Confirm.”
The system will send an OTP code to your phone. Enter the OTP and set a password.
Step 3: To check for violations, select “Search for Violations.”
Step 4: Enter your vehicle’s license plate number and click “Check.”
