Yamaha Unveils the JOG E: A New Era in Electric Scooters
On November 19, 2025, Yamaha officially introduced the JOG E, its latest electric scooter model. Set to launch in Tokyo and Osaka on December 22, the JOG E is priced at 159,900 yen (approximately $27 million VND). This release marks a significant shift for Yamaha, as it replaces the iconic gasoline-powered Jog, which ceased production due to new emission standards effective November 2025.
A standout feature of the JOG E is its use of the Honda Mobile Power Pack e: battery. This removable battery, developed under a joint OEM agreement between Yamaha and Honda since August 2024, allows users to access Japan’s expanding battery-sharing services. This innovation significantly reduces charging wait times and enhances flexibility for urban electric vehicle users.

Compact and Efficient Battery Compartment
Ergonomic and User-Friendly Features
Designed for urban mobility, the JOG E features a rear-wheel-mounted motor, ensuring a compact structure and smooth low-speed performance. With a maximum power output of 1.7 kW and 90 Nm of torque, it’s ideal for stop-and-go city traffic. The scooter offers two riding modes: Standard (STD) and Energy-Saving (ECON). Under controlled testing at 30 km/h, the JOG E achieves a range of approximately 53 km per battery swap.
Measuring 1,795 mm in length, 680 mm in width, and 1,140 mm in height, with a seat height of 740 mm, the JOG E is accessible to a wide range of users, particularly women and those with smaller builds. Its lightweight 93 kg frame makes maneuvering in tight spaces effortless.
Staying true to the JOG series’ “universal design” philosophy, the JOG E blends seamless rider integration with modern geometric aesthetics. Its familiar yet contemporary design appeals to both new and loyal Yamaha customers.
Yamaha has enhanced daily usability with full LED lighting, a digital display, and practical features like a 500 ml bottle holder, USB Type-A charging port, 1 kg load-bearing hook, and under-seat storage for personal items.

The Honda Mobile Power Pack e: is seamlessly integrated, allowing quick battery swaps. Equipped with 90/90-12 front and 100/90-10 rear tires, the JOG E delivers stable yet agile handling. The CBS braking system ensures balanced and safe stopping power.
Available in two colors—deep gray with blue accents (similar to the E-Vino and E01) and minimalist light gray—the JOG E exudes modernity and premium appeal.
Positioned as the perfect successor to the gasoline-powered Jog in Japan, the JOG E combines affordability, shared battery convenience, familiar design, and urban practicality.
