Contractors are working tirelessly to complete the Hoai Nhon – Quy Nhon Expressway by December 16th, as reported by Construction Newspaper.
Following the Prime Minister’s directive to prepare for the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies of large-scale, significant projects in celebration of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Ministry of Construction has requested relevant ministries, provincial authorities, and corporations under the Ministry of Finance to register and prepare their projects. Submissions are due by November 10th.
As of November 19th, the Ministry of Construction reports that some ministries, localities, and corporations have yet to submit their reports. Additionally, several entities have not registered any projects, and some projects slated for completion or commencement in 2025 remain unregistered by local authorities.
Proposal to Launch and Inaugurate 198 Projects
Registered entities have proposed the launch and inauguration of 198 projects (125 new projects and 73 completed projects) with a total investment of 983.34 trillion VND. Funding sources include 487.154 trillion VND (49.5%) from central and local budgets, and 496.186 trillion VND (50.5%) from other sources, with no foreign direct investment (FDI).
Breakdown by entity: 32 projects from 14 out of 18 ministries and equivalent agencies; 42 projects from 22 corporations and conglomerates; and 124 projects from 25 out of 34 localities.
Breakdown by project category: 5 nationally significant projects, 39 Group A projects, 134 Group B projects, and 20 Group C projects.
67 Transportation Projects Set for Launch and Inauguration
By sector: 67 transportation projects, 28 civil works projects, 42 industrial projects, 23 technical infrastructure projects, 19 social housing projects, 4 cultural projects, 5 educational projects, 2 agricultural projects, and 8 healthcare projects.
To ensure compliance with scale and organizational requirements for inaugurations, launches, and technical openings, the Ministry of Construction recommends the Prime Minister issue a directive urging ministries, sectors, and localities to expedite project reviews and approvals. Registered projects must be submitted to the Ministry of Construction by November 25th.
Based on submitted reports, the Ministry of Construction will collaborate with the Government Office and relevant agencies to review project lists, ensuring compliance with organizational regulations. They will also work with Vietnam Television to develop programs, scripts, and connection plans for central and key locations, submitting the final report to the Prime Minister by December 5th.
