Massive Bank Branch Closures and ATM Shutdowns Due to Severe Flooding

Amidst the escalating complexities of flooding in the South Central provinces, banks have collectively announced a temporary suspension of transactions at their branches and transaction offices in the affected areas.

To ensure safety, KienlongBank has announced the temporary closure of several transaction points due to flooding in Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa provinces on November 19-20. The bank will maintain this suspension until further notice.

The affected branches include: KienlongBank Tuy An, KienlongBank Son Hoa, KienlongBank Song Cau (Dak Lak province); KienlongBank Dien Khanh, KienlongBank Khanh Hoa (Khanh Hoa province).

During these two days, Sacombank also suspended operations at multiple transaction offices in Gia Lai, Dak Lak, and Khanh Hoa, with no resumption date announced yet.

These include: Phu Tai Transaction Office under Binh Dinh Branch (Gia Lai province); Dien Khanh and Cam Lam Transaction Offices under Khanh Hoa Branch (Khanh Hoa province); Phu Yen Branch (Dak Lak province) and its affiliated transaction offices: Tran Hung Dao Transaction Office (Tuy Hoa Ward, Dak Lak province); Nam Tuy Hoa Transaction Office (Phu Yen Ward, Dak Lak province); and Ninh Hoa Branch (Ninh Hoa Ward, Khanh Hoa province).

Similarly, on November 20, ACB announced the suspension of all branches and transaction offices in Dak Lak province (formerly Phu Yen).

In Khanh Hoa province, the following ACB transaction offices are suspended: Ninh Hoa, Vinh Phuoc, Cho Dam, and Phuong Son.

ATMs in these areas have also been temporarily suspended to ensure safety.

SHB announced the suspension of branches, transaction offices, and ATMs from November 20 in affected areas, including: Tuy Phuoc and An Nhon Transaction Offices (Binh Dinh Branch); Ninh Hoa Transaction Office (Khanh Hoa Branch).

SHB noted that the list may be updated based on flood developments. Resumption dates will be announced according to local conditions.

BaoViet Bank also suspended transactions from November 20 at its Khanh Hoa Branch (8A Dinh Tien Hoang, Nha Trang Ward) and Nha Trang Transaction Office (Nam Nha Trang Ward). ATMs in Khanh Hoa province are also suspended from November 20.

Techcombank suspended operations at its Nha Trang Branch on November 20 to ensure customer and staff safety during the flooding in Khanh Hoa province.

During the flood period, banks encourage customers to use online banking services.
