Unveiling the Power of Numbers: Highlights from Vietnam Industry & Technology Week 2025

Vietnam Industry & Technology Week 2025 concluded with a remarkable 70,000 visitors and nearly 600 billion VND in signed transactions over just four days, solidifying Vietnam Exhibition Center (VEC) as the premier destination for the region’s industrial sector.

Vietnam Exhibition Center (VEC) in Dong Anh, Hanoi, became the epicenter of the industrial sector from November 11-15, as Vietnam Industry & Technology Week 2025 unfolded with unprecedented scale. For the first time, the most significant industrial exhibitions—VIIF (Vietnam International Industrial Fair), CMES, Vietbuild, Cafe Show, and the Vietnam Door Association Exhibition—converged across an 80,000 m² area, featuring nearly 750 booths and hundreds of domestic and international enterprises. This created a seamless ecosystem for showcasing and trading, unparalleled in previous years.

Attracting Over 70,000 Visitors

VEC’s expansive space and hall-structured layout allowed each exhibition to fully demonstrate its organizational capabilities: from industrial robots and CNC machines to lifting equipment, construction materials, and smart factory models. Bulky machinery, once challenging to display in older venues, was now showcased indoors and outdoors, offering businesses a significant advantage in presenting their colossal industrial machines.

With a vast number of visitors, walking through each hall felt like traversing chapters in an evolving industrial narrative.

The spatial transformation and organizational upgrades immediately reflected in attendance numbers. The event welcomed over 70,000 visitors—a rare growth rate for an industrial event. Attendees spanned manufacturing firms in mechanics, materials, energy, and engineering, alongside international delegations from Japan, South Korea, Germany, Singapore, and China.

Many businesses affirmed they “met the right people,” fostering swift trade connections as entire supply chains converged under one roof.

Vibrant Trade, Surpassing 600 Billion VND

Within each exhibition zone, trade connections thrived almost continuously. The CMES hall—showcasing robots, machinery, and automation—was the most dynamic, attracting over 1,200 professional domestic and international buyers. This marked the highest buyer density recorded in a Vietnamese machinery exhibition in a decade. Trade buzzed intensely, especially around major brands like FANUC, whose calligraphy-writing robot captivated all.

A seminar at VIIF

Meanwhile, VIIF, with its 30-year history, hosted 126 B2B matchmaking sessions. These pre-arranged, closed sessions helped industries find suitable partners swiftly. Combining open hall networking with behind-the-scenes deep connections, VIIF generated substantial, actionable transactions beyond mere information exchange.

Total transaction value reached nearly 600 billion VND. Vietbuild led with 360 billion VND in on-site contracts. VIIF recorded $8.6 million (215 billion VND) in signed deals and $62 million (1,550 billion VND) under negotiation. Robotics, automation, lifting equipment, and new materials sectors at CMES and the Door Association also reported significant VEC-based transactions.

Strategic Railway Industry Forum

The event’s depth was further highlighted by strategic forums and specialized seminars held concurrently.

Notably, the inaugural International Exhibition on Modern Railway Technology and Infrastructure Supply Chain (VRT & CONS 2025) transcended traditional tech showcases (e.g., trains, TBM drills) to become a “strategic forum,” as Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Danh Huy stated in his opening remarks.

International and Vietnamese experts discussed foundational industry issues: PPP models, TOD, land use, risk-sharing mechanisms, and technology transfer. This open dialogue was highly praised by global partners.

“We’re keen on partnering with local entities, especially for Vietnam’s North-South high-speed rail project. We see immense cooperation potential—Vietnamese railways are highly promising. This rapidly growing industry showcases vast opportunities,” noted Marvin Windolf from DB Engineering & Consulting, a leading European consultancy.

The forum’s practicality was evident in its “Business Matching” zone and numerous MOUs signed for railway supply chain development and technology transfer, bridging policy ideas with concrete collaborations.

Revitalizing Specialized Exhibitions

Beyond trade and forums, this year’s event introduced fresh industrial experiences. At CMES, robotic arms demonstrated precise assembly, revealing the “softness” of new-generation automation. Vietbuild showcased green materials, rapid construction solutions, and energy-efficient equipment, reflecting shifts in urban development thinking.

At Cafe Show Industrial, the aroma of freshly roasted coffee alongside beverage booths created a unique blend of technical and relaxed experiential spaces, rare in traditional industrial events.

Meanwhile, VIIF 2025 offered Vietnamese firms opportunities to address production-distribution gaps, enhance localization rates, and elevate national industrial standing.

The event’s figures underscore Vietnam’s industrial growth potential, necessitating more platforms for businesses to showcase products, services, and deepen partnerships. VIIF 2026, part of the 2nd Vietnam Industry & Technology Week, is slated for September 9-11, 2026, with expanded scale, more global industrial brands, and enterprises, propelling Vietnam’s economy forward.
