On November 20th, Can Gio Coastal City – Vinhomes Green Paradise was officially recognized as the first official candidate for the “7 Wonders of the Urban Future” campaign launched by New7Wonders.
The Vietnamese representative surpassed 90 nominations from around the world to become the first candidate to meet the criteria for this 21st-century urban symbol election. This recognition highlights Vinhomes Green Paradise’s vision and stature in developing a model future city.
Vinhomes Green Paradise meets the program’s criteria for environment, nature, smart cities, and human-centric development. New7Wonders noted that the ESG++ model is what sets this project apart from other nominees.
According to the ranking criteria, the Vietnamese representative scored highly in three categories: Environment and Nature, Smart City, and Human-Centric Development.
In the Environment and Nature category, Vinhomes Green Paradise boasts a unique location surrounded by the Can Gio Sea and a UNESCO-recognized biosphere reserve of over 75,000 hectares of mangrove forests. The project features a total beach length of 121 km, covers 2,870 hectares, and has a construction density of just 16%. Notably, the remaining area is dedicated to greenery and water bodies, including an 800-hectare natural seawater lagoon at the city’s center, creating a unique ecological space found only in the world’s leading coastal megacities.
In the Smart City category, Vinhomes Green Paradise integrates IoT, Big Data, and AI for management, operation, and environmental monitoring, while also developing a modern, safe, and civilized urban space.
In the Human-Centric Development category, the project’s amenities are planned and developed in line with a human-centric philosophy. Residents will enjoy a high-quality lifestyle with comprehensive services meeting international standards, including healthcare (Vinmec in partnership with Cleveland Clinic, USA), education (Vinschool and Brighton College, UK), senior care (Vin New Horizon), culture (Blue Waves Theatre), sports (two 18-hole golf courses designed by companies founded by Tiger Woods and Robert Trent Jones), entertainment (VinWonders Sea Square covering 122 hectares), and dining (Cosmo Bay culinary, shopping, and nightlife complex).

Not only does Vinhomes Green Paradise fully meet the program’s core criteria, but it also represents the noble mission of a leading Asian and global corporation actively applying ESG++ in various activities. This is why we came to Vietnam to personally present the official candidate certificate, marking a symbolic milestone for the entire campaign. It’s also an opportunity for us to visit the project and witness the creation of a truly extraordinary metropolis where nature, humanity, and technology harmoniously coexist and are celebrated. This is the spirit that all candidates for the 7 Wonders of the Urban Future should strive for.”
What Sets Vinhomes Green Paradise Apart?

What sets the Vietnamese representative apart is its development model. Instead of merely adhering to global ESG urban standards, Vinhomes Green Paradise has pioneered the ESG++ model, comprising five pillars: Environment, Social, Governance, Regeneration, and Climate Change Adaptation.
The green vision is rigorously applied from the construction phase. The project utilizes the latest technology to minimize environmental impact. Notably, the K-DPM technology transforms soft mud into sustainable, regenerative materials, reducing indirect emissions, pollution, and natural sand extraction.
Once operational, the entire urban system will be fully “greened,” aiming for: 100% clean electricity (from offshore wind power 20 km from shore and solar energy systems with battery storage); 100% zero-emission vehicles (including electric cars, motorcycles, buses, bicycles, and canoes, as well as a high-speed rail system directly connecting to Ho Chi Minh City center).

Beyond strict environmental compliance, Vinhomes Green Paradise focuses on conserving and regenerating flora and fauna during development, alongside Ho Chi Minh City’s climate change adaptation strategy. The Forest Regeneration and Climate Change Adaptation Fund supports long-term research, restoration, and response efforts, with a focus on regenerating the Can Gio forest to create a green protective belt for the entire project.
With these initiatives, Vinhomes Green Paradise aims to achieve BREEAM and ISO 37122 certifications—the world’s most stringent green and smart standards—becoming a global ESG++ icon and a model for new-generation coastal cities.
Ms. Nguyen Thu Hang, CEO of Vinhomes JSC, shared: “Environment and Nature, Smart City, and Human-Centric Development are the three pillars of Vinhomes Green Paradise. These are not only strengths for the 7 Wonders of the Urban Future campaign but also guiding principles for Vinhomes to create a world-class urban symbol—a livable space for global residents and a representation of sustainable future aspirations.”
Vinhomes Green Paradise’s recognition as the first official candidate by New7Wonders underscores the project’s vision and real-world impact.
The “7 Wonders of the Urban Future” campaign launched on October 31, 2025. The global public voting phase will run from October 31, 2026, with results announced on October 31, 2027.
Upon completion, this $10 billion super project will feature a 108-story tower, the Blue Waves Theatre complex, golf courses, a 122-hectare entertainment area with an open-air Safari zoo, a 5-star international port Landmark Harbour, and Vietnam’s first high-end retirement community, Vin New Horizon.
