CEO Group (stock code: CEO) has recently unveiled the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report for the Sonasea Kien Giang City urban area project, Phase 2, located in the northwest of Vinh Quang Ward, An Giang Province. The total investment for this project is estimated at over 2.6 trillion VND.
Spanning 83 hectares in Rach Gia Ward, An Giang Province, Sonasea Kien Giang City is strategically positioned adjacent to the sea on its northwestern and southwestern sides, while the northeastern boundary abuts the 31-meter-wide Ba Thang Hai Street.
According to the project dossier, the planning area is a reclaimed land zone with a 2-kilometer-long coastline and no existing residents. Approximately 150 meters to the southeast lies the Phase 1 Northwest Urban Area of Vinh Quang Ward, a 99-hectare development already in progress.
Designed as a coastal urban area, Sonasea Kien Giang City is expected to accommodate a population of 12,000. The land use plan allocates approximately 34 hectares for residential structures.
The project includes over 21 hectares designated for terraced housing, with an average construction density of 90% and a maximum height of 5 floors. Villa plots cover nearly 3.9 hectares, limited to 3 floors. High-rise apartments are permitted up to 30 floors, with a density of 30–40%, including a mixed-use tower also capped at 30 floors.
Additionally, the project features three 5-story social housing blocks with a 40% density. An artificial beach spanning over 8,000 square meters, along with various facilities such as offices, headquarters, and a marina, will also be developed.
CEO Group plans to complete all design, environmental impact, fire safety, land, and construction permit procedures by the end of 2026. From Q1 2027 to Q4 2030, the project will commence land reclamation, construction, and operational phases.
Sonasea Kien Giang City is envisioned as a coastal urban area with a projected population of 12,000 residents.
In addition to this project, CEO Group is also developing the Tien Lang Airport Industrial Park (Zone B) in Chan Hung Commune, Hai Phong City. The city has mandated that the company finalize procedures to begin construction on December 19, 2025. The Chan Hung Commune People’s Committee must hand over 50 hectares of cleared land by December 30, 2025, and submit a resettlement area construction plan within the next week to facilitate land clearance.
This year, CEO Group aims to accelerate legal procedures and construction for key projects such as Sonasea Residences (Phu Quoc), CEOHomes Hana Garden (Me Linh – Hanoi), Sonasea Van Don Harbor City, and Sonasea Premier Nha Trang.
The company also plans to focus on M&A activities, prioritizing industrial real estate and mixed-use urban projects across multiple regions.
Following a recent merger, An Giang Province now boasts a maritime area of 63,290 square kilometers, a 200-kilometer coastline, and over 140 islands, 40 of which are inhabited. Phu Quoc, the largest island, symbolizes the province’s vast marine economic potential.
The marine economy currently accounts for 80% of the province’s GRDP, significantly enhancing the livelihoods of residents, particularly in coastal and island communities.
