Accelerating Efforts to Hand Over Entire Cà Mau – Đất Mũi Expressway Land by Mid-December

Cà Mau province is striving to complete 100% of the land clearance for the Cà Mau - Đất Mũi expressway by December 15th. To date, the province has allocated over 771 billion VND for land acquisition, with the remaining funds to be reviewed and fully arranged as directed by the Prime Minister.

On November 24, the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee announced that it is directing relevant departments, the Provincial Land Fund Development Center, and local authorities to accelerate land clearance for the construction of the Ca Mau – Dat Mui Expressway. The goal is to hand over 100% of the cleared land to the project by December 15.

Contractors mobilize machinery and equipment at the starting point of the Ca Mau – Dat Mui Expressway, where it intersects with the Trans-Asian Highway in Ca Mau Province.

The Ca Mau – Dat Mui Expressway project requires the reclamation of approximately 713 hectares of land, with a total land clearance budget of around VND 2,028 billion. The central government is contributing 50% of this amount. The project affects 6 organizations and 1,662 households and individuals.

To date, Ca Mau Province has allocated over VND 771 billion from its local budget. The remaining amount (over VND 242 billion) is currently under review to ensure full compliance with the Prime Minister’s directives.

The Standing Committee of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee has established a Steering Committee, which holds weekly meetings with contractors, conducts on-site inspections, and provides timely support to address challenges.

For the connection to Hon Khoai Island, Ca Mau Province has completed measurements, inventory, and compensation plans. Efforts are underway to finalize land-use conversion procedures and hand over the cleared land.

The Hon Khoai Multipurpose Port has completed land clearance, achieving 100% handover of the affected forest land.

The Ca Mau – Dat Mui Expressway spans approximately 90 kilometers with a four-lane design. The project begins at the old Ca Mau City, connecting with the eastern end of the North-South Expressway, and ends in the former Ngoc Hien District (Dat Mui). Construction commenced on August 19 under an emergency construction order.
