Both of these projects by An Giang Agricultural and Foodstuff Export Joint Stock Company (AFIEX, stock code: AFX) are located in the former Long Xuyên City, now Mỹ Thới Ward, An Giang Province.

The first project, Lộc Phát Golden Commercial Housing Area, is a joint venture between AFIEX and Lộc Phát Long Xuyên Limited Liability Company. Spanning nearly 3 hectares, it is envisioned as a mixed-use urban complex featuring townhouses, apartments, and a commercial center.

The second project, Mỹ Thới Residential Area, is solely developed by AFIEX and covers a similar area of approximately 3 hectares. It is planned to be a model urban development in the region.

Both projects are categorized under Group 1 in the An Giang Provincial People’s Committee’s planned list.

AFIEX is recognized as a leading state-owned enterprise in the Southern region, operating in two main sectors: food and animal feed, and aquaculture. The company underwent privatization and complete state divestment in 2021.

Under new ownership, AFIEX has undergone significant restructuring, achieving growth across various segments, including animal feed and aquaculture, rice exports, and food products.

In 2024, the rebound in pangasius exports and increased investment by farmers boosted AFIEX’s aquaculture feed sales, driving a significant surge in revenue to over 2,000 billion VND, a 3% decrease from 2023 but triple the 2021 figure.

In the first nine months of 2025, the aquaculture feed segment continued its growth trajectory as seafood demand recovered in key markets such as the U.S., EU, China, South Korea, and others. Simultaneously, improvements in the food and rice export sectors contributed to AFIEX’s positive performance.

Mr. Đặng Quang Thái, Chairman of AFIEX’s Board of Directors, stated that the company’s rice export turnover is expected to exceed 15 million USD by the end of 2025, a sharp increase from 2024. This will help AFIEX achieve a net revenue of 1.76 trillion VND and pre-tax profit of 25.2 billion VND, fulfilling 70% and 63% of the annual targets, respectively. The company is on track to meet its goals of 2.523 trillion VND in total revenue and 39.95 billion VND in pre-tax profit.

Beyond its core production sectors, AFIEX holds extensive land reserves in An Giang and Cần Thơ, designated for production and business activities, with usage rights extending beyond 2040. Many of these land areas are long-term holdings, and the two aforementioned projects are part of AFIEX’s substantial land portfolio.

Previously, AFIEX successfully developed four residential projects in An Giang Province, including Trần Quang Khải Residential Area, Mỹ Thới Peat Shell Residential Area, Nam Châu Đốc Residential and Commercial Center, Thoại Ngọc Hầu Residential Area, and the expanded canal-front residential area along National Highway 91.

On November 17, 2025, the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE) officially issued Decision 1102/QĐ-SGDHCM, approving the listing of 35 million AFX shares of An Giang Agricultural and Foodstuff Export Joint Stock Company on HoSE.

With a par value of 10,000 VND per share, the listing value of AFX is 350 billion VND. The final trading day on UPCoM is November 27.
