For the Gia Binh International Airport project, functional agencies and local authorities have registered 6,694 out of 7,980 households and individuals, covering approximately 818 hectares of agricultural land (rice fields). Over 2.405 trillion VND has been disbursed to 4,825 households for 533.6 hectares in Luong Tai, Gia Binh, and Nhan Thang communes.

He emphasized that land clearance is critical to the successful implementation of the Gia Binh International Airport project and related initiatives. Therefore, all units and localities must coordinate closely, enhance accountability, and commit to meeting deadlines and objectives.
On November 14, the Government submitted the investment proposal for Gia Binh Airport to the National Assembly. According to the environmental impact assessment report released by Masterise Group in November 2025, the airport will utilize nearly 1,885 hectares across Gia Binh, Luong Tai, Lam Thao, and Nhan Thang communes.
The total investment is projected at 196.378 trillion VND across two phases, with phase one requiring 141.236 trillion VND. Gia Binh International Airport will meet 4F standards, serving 30 million passengers and 1.6 million tons of cargo by 2030. By 2050, capacity will increase to 50 million passengers and 2.5 million tons of cargo annually.
The airport aims to achieve a 5-star international service rating, ranking among the world’s top 10 airports according to Skytrax criteria. It will also excel in passenger experience (ASQ) as evaluated by the Airport Council International (ACI). The facility is envisioned as the Northern region’s aviation gateway, a hub for passenger and cargo transit, and a maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) center for the Asia-Pacific region.
