The Autumn Economic Forum, taking place from November 25 to 27, 2025, in Ho Chi Minh City, is garnering significant international attention.
The 2025 Autumn Economic Forum, themed “Green Transformation in the Digital Era,” is set to be held at the Thisky Hall Convention Center (formerly Thu Duc City). The event is directed by the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, organized by the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (HCMC C4IR), in collaboration with various agencies, ministries, and the World Economic Forum (WEF).
The forum will feature Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son, WEF Managing Director Stephan Mergenthaler, and leaders from various ministries, sectors, and localities.
As of November 17, Ho Chi Minh City has received confirmations from 22 international delegations, including leaders from ministries, sectors, and localities, as well as international organizations. Additionally, 75 delegations from Fourth Industrial Revolution centers, innovation hubs, and major corporations across Europe, the Americas, Australia, and Asia are expected to attend.
Notably, HCMC C4IR reports that 45 leading corporations, investment funds, and top technology firms from the U.S., China, Japan, the EU, Singapore, and New Zealand have confirmed their participation.
Son of Former U.S. President to Visit Vietnam

Among the attendees is Mr. Neil Bush, son of former President George H. W. Bush, who currently leads the George H.W. Bush Foundation. This foundation is one of the few with direct access to policymakers in the world’s leading economies, the U.S. and China.
Previously, Mr. Neil Bush expressed interest in investing up to $5 billion in clean energy projects in Ho Chi Minh City, including urban wind power, energy storage infrastructure, and smart grid optimization, aligning with the city’s emission reduction goals.
Also from the U.S., Sun Seven Stars Investment Group, led by billionaire Bruno Wu, has confirmed its participation. The group, with a multi-billion-dollar valuation, focuses on technology, finance, media, and education. In Vietnam, it has invested in blockchain and high-tech studios, supporting Ho Chi Minh City’s innovation ecosystem.
Another prominent attendee is Foxconn Industrial Internet (China), represented by Chairman Brand Cheng and CEO Liu Zongchang. With a market cap of nearly $182 million, total assets of $447.7 billion, and revenue of $857.9 billion (2024), Foxconn is a leading investor in electronics and is expanding into electric vehicle production and AI in Vietnam.
From China, Huawei, represented by Southeast Asia Vice President Dilan Huang, will also attend. Huawei has a market cap of $62.3 billion and revenue of $118.16 billion (2024), and is a top player in 5G infrastructure, cloud computing, and digital energy in Vietnam.
Schneider Electric (Singapore), represented by Vice President Andy Yu Shihao, has a market cap of $105 billion and revenue of approximately $21 billion. With over 30 years in Vietnam, it provides smart factory and green data center solutions.
Siemens (Germany & ASEAN), represented by Dr. Pham Thai Lai (Chairman of Siemens ASEAN) and Maximilian Foehse (Global Plant Planning Manager), leads in industrial automation, rail transportation, and renewable energy in Vietnam.
Notably, among the Chinese participants is Tan Dong Xin Group, a major industrial player expanding into electric vehicles. The group plans to launch an electric vehicle assembly and production project in Ho Chi Minh City in 2026, along with a supply chain for components, materials, and logistics.
Other technology and electronics giants, including Hitachi (Japan), Hikvision (China), Nokia (Finland), and Merck (U.S.), have also confirmed their attendance.

The 2025 Autumn Economic Forum is expected to yield numerous strategic agreements in areas such as digital transformation, green energy, AI, robotics, semiconductors, and smart infrastructure. The presence of these global corporations and organizations underscores Ho Chi Minh City’s growing appeal as a regional hub for trade, finance, and technology. It also provides an opportunity for the city to connect with international resources and attract strategic investments.
According to HCMC C4IR, the forum will begin on November 25 with an inspirational talk show for youth and the CEO500 – TEA Connect program, connecting government leaders, WEF executives, and over 500 global CEOs. An official reception hosted by the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee will follow in the evening.
On November 26, the forum will feature a plenary session, three bilateral discussions, dialogues between ministry leaders and international experts, and a policy dialogue between Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and WEF Managing Director Stephan Mergenthaler.
On November 27, activities will include corporate tours, visits to cultural and historical sites in Ho Chi Minh City, a science and technology networking seminar between Vietnamese experts abroad and domestic businesses, a Vietnam-China business networking seminar, and the “1st Global C4IR Network Connection Night.”
