On November 24th, as reported by Tien Phong Newspaper, the Thanh An Bridge project spanning the Saigon River, connecting Thanh An Commune, Dau Tieng District, Binh Duong Province (formerly), now part of Ho Chi Minh City, with Hung Thuan Commune, Trang Bang Town, Tay Ninh Province (formerly), now Hung Thuan Commune, Tay Ninh Province, has been completed and is set to officially open to traffic.
The Thanh An Bridge is part of Package XL1 (road and bridge construction) undertaken by Deo Ca Group as the contractor for the bridge and the 31.5 km road connecting Tru Van Tho Commune, Bau Bang District, Binh Duong Province (formerly), now Tru Van Tho Commune, Ho Chi Minh City, to the Saigon River bordering Hung Thuan Commune, Trang Bang Town, Tay Ninh Province (formerly), now Hung Thuan Commune, Tay Ninh Province.
With the completion of the Thanh An Bridge, residents of Hung Thuan Commune, Tay Ninh Province, and Thanh An Commune, Ho Chi Minh City, have begun using the bridge for travel.
The Thanh An Bridge, over 600 meters long, features 12 piers with a clearance height of 7 meters, spanning the Saigon River and connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Tay Ninh Province.
The Thanh An Bridge and its approach roads are designed and constructed with a capacity of 4 lanes, 2 lanes in each direction.
The bridge is expected to officially open to traffic in December 2025.
The total construction cost of the bridge and road project exceeds 681 billion VND.
The Thanh An Bridge is a vital project facilitating the transportation of goods from industrial zones in Ho Chi Minh City to Tay Ninh Province and vice versa, helping businesses reduce transportation costs.
The completion and operation of the Thanh An Bridge will significantly improve travel convenience for residents of Ho Chi Minh City and Tay Ninh Province.
